awesome lady!: June 2009
http://jesslover.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 24, 2009. Welcome to Cat 2*. It wasn't a bad crash and no one was at fault, although i do feel a little like the fates hazed me into the 2's :). Monday, June 15, 2009. Methow Valley Stage Race. This weekend was the Methow Valley Stage race. It was probably my last chance to get a large number of points towards my Cat 2 upgrade so I really was motivated to do well. So here's what I'm really proud of . The mechanic was so nice and just told me "go! I think you can get them! The 3's were sup...

Ulcerative Colitis | Forward is a Pace
https://littlerunnergirl.wordpress.com/ulcerative-colitis
Forward is a Pace. What is Ulcerative Colitis? My Ulcerative Colitis Story. I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 2005, during my sophomore year of college. I had been frequently ill during the semester before, and having sharp pains in my stomach. Eventually, I got the bloody diarrhea too. (Cute, huh? Thank goodness I was a resident assistant and had my own bathroom! For more on my journey with Ulcerative Colitis:. On Living With Ulcerative Colitis: The Diagnosis. awesome lady!: November 2008
http://jesslover.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 20, 2008. I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to finally write this race report. I guess I have been thinking a lot about this race and whether I was really pleased with my performance. Being as my first IM was just last August, and was the focus of my season, by the time Clearwater rolled around I was took a pretty apathetic approach to the whole race. Don't get me wrong, I was psyched to be there but I also wasn't stressing myself out over my performance and training. Friday morni...

awesome lady!: February 2010
http://jesslover.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 22, 2010. A story about how I was wrong: Sublime Sublimity Circuit Race. This last weekend I did my first road race of the year. The Sublime Sublimity Circuit Race takes place in Sublimity, OR and is run on a 13 mile circuit. The Pro 1/2/3 women were run together in the afternoon. We did 3 laps on the course which, with the off course finish worked out to a little over 40 miles. I was totally wrong. On to the actual report. We start off neutral from the staging area and onto the course&#...

awesome lady!: HOLY SHIT!!! It's almost road season!!!
http://jesslover.blogspot.com/2010/02/holy-shit-its-almost-road-season.html
Tuesday, February 16, 2010. It's almost road season! I thought I would be so burned after cross season that I wouldn't want to race my bike for about a million years but I'm totally chomping at the bit to start racing on the road. I've been semi-injured for the last month or so and totally unable to run so instead I've been putting a ton of hours on the bike. As of this weekend, I have about 1500 miles on the year and one slowly healing saddle sore. Road season, I wish! February 16, 2010 at 6:30 PM.

Thursday, May 27, 2010. Race my first NRC (Cascade Classic). Upgrade to Cat 1 on the road. Tuesday, May 11, 2010. Tour of Walla Walla (finally). I don't know why I've been putting off writing this race report but I'm finally doing it. ToWW was my first 3 day stage race and was a big early season target or "A" race for me. Since I still have no clue what I'm doing training-wise, I did a half-assed taper for a few days leading up to the race. There were a lot of STRONG time trialists at this race so my goa...

Life is like riding a bicycle, you don't fall off unless you stop pedalling. Life is like riding a bicycle, you don't fall off unless you stop pedalling. Wednesday, March 30, 2011. I must be a romantic, Right? This weekend was normal like always. This includes train, eat, train, snuggle, eat, repeat. This photo is old, but you get the idea. Except this Sunday we had a double date with some friends,. Who ended up ditching at 6:27 (meeting was at 6:30) and left us apologizing to the poor gondolier. I asked...

Build The Machine: Grand Canyon Rim2Rim2Rim
http://buildthemachine1.blogspot.com/2013/12/grand-canyon-rim2rim2rim.html
Wednesday, December 4, 2013. I sit here, still on a complete high. From such an incredible experience I had last weekend in the Grand Canyon. What ended up being the entire Rim 2 Rim 2 Rim loop, was so much more than saying I completed this Ultra. It was so much more than the run or the miles or just finishing. This experience was one of the best days of my life. Going into this I knew I could handle the distance and had the mental focus it would take to complete this trip. Truth though. Fact - Head lamp?

Build The Machine: Off Season.
http://buildthemachine1.blogspot.com/2014/12/off-season.html
Monday, December 15, 2014. Last year my kind. Of Off Season was sneaking in runs. Adding on, say. 25 extra miles to an already strenuous venture through the Grand Canyon. An occasional 'oh whoops, I have no idea how I ended up biking that many extra miles.' Guilty! This year, as hard as it is for a stubborn-always-on-the-go-do-not-want-to-slow-down-hard-headed-do-it-my-way-girl, I truly took time OFF. Like off off. Like absolutely nothing. ZERO. and guess what. Every second. But I did survive :). Run for...
