http://toastyjam.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
A blog for those rainy days. Saturday, August 7, 2010. I need to get going again. I need to stop gravitating toward comfort zones, because that's how I get lazy. Two years, that's my goal. To years to get back to Europe and, hopefully, study there for at least another year. All I need to do is earn scholarships, grants and a few thousand bucks before then. Good luck to me. In other news, did I mention how lovely zucchini is? Labels: lack of productivity. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The New PostSecret Book.

Toast+Jam: October 2009
http://toastyjam.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
A blog for those rainy days. Thursday, October 22, 2009. Ergo, they were actually speaking German, as recorded in the movie. Yes, it turns out that the first few minutes of 'Before Sunrise' are actually supposed. 160;to be in German. In fact, the entire film takes place in Austria. Way to read the back of the DVD before watching. Plus, I got to feel superior to Ethan Hawke's character, because I could understand what the Austrians were saying and he had to look like a clueless American because he couldn't.

Toast+Jam: September 2009
http://toastyjam.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
A blog for those rainy days. Sunday, September 27, 2009. Election Update: German Style! Angie, as they call her here, is once again Chancellor. The CDU got the majority vote, and the SPD fared worse than most expected. I was surprised by how quickly the results were in, but that and the absence of election parties seem to be major differences between American elections and German ones. Thursday, September 24, 2009. But then, I guess Americans tend to go a bit overboard on 'historical moments.'. Well, the...

Toast+Jam: January 2010
http://toastyjam.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
A blog for those rainy days. Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Giant, blue cat people flying around on dragons and chanting feverishly to a huge tree that resembles a sea anemone- in 3-D. . Let's face it, people: this is not a movie made for plot, but for the visual art involved. Lush CGI landscapes rushing at the viewer in 3-D are pretty damn stunning, and the use of color in this film is really beautiful. Good Guy: This is all over! Bad Guy: This isn't over while I'm still alive! GG: I hoped you'd say that!
