Following a four-year pilot of TGA, a state-supported residential mathematics and science school, the Governor's Office and the State Department of Education have concluded that the program costs associated with a residential school are too great. The State Department is instead exploring the development of regional-based day mathematics and science magnet high schools, much like models in Virginia, Florida, and Ohio.
