http://mudpuddlin.blogspot.com/2012/11/african-adventure-part-5-mauritania.html
Wednesday, 14 November 2012. African Adventure part 5: Mauritania. It's been 48 hours since the last update so must be new update time! To start with, an apology. The pictures for this entry are not yet sorted out, I might have to post them on a separate link in FB. Sorry bout that, but onwards and upwards. At first, the going seemed much easier than our first encounter with the Sahara, I was boldly predicting an arrival at our destination 'just after lunch'. Oh the optimism of youth! Running out of beer...

Mudpuddlin Man: June 2012

Monday, 11 June 2012. A few words from me. Percpetions can be powerful, especially peoples perception of you. To present onesself as a mental illness sufferer can be to invite perception of weakness, to allow that perception of abnormality (in this world, could there be a more inapt word for it? These entries are never easy reading, but I would have you know me better. And for that, they are a start. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Review: The Peloponnesian War, by Thucydides. Thursday, 19 April 2012. Wishing it was different. It is a literal insanity, because I am ill-equipped to nurture myself, and nurture surely is a natural thing to expect or hope for from friendship and love? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Mudpuddlin Man: October 2011
http://mudpuddlin.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Monday, 24 October 2011. Poem - a rejigged Song of Me. He is reflective, soft and caring,. Bears his burdens heavily. He’s not prone to natural pairing,. Flies solo all too easily. He’ll debate on technicalities,. Or chide you with a smile. But he’ll miss your similarities,. By at least a country mile. If you show him some compassion. You’ll win a lifelong friend,. Just don’t ask him about fashion,. Or which bouquet to send. He sees beauty all around the place. But won’t recognise his own,. 10) Stop hidi...

8211; Keepers of Arden. Small Favor by Jim Butcher. The Dresden Files #10. THE New York Times Bestseller Harry Dresden’s life finally seems to be calming down until a shadow from the past returns. Mab, monarch of the Sidhe Winter Court, calls in an old favor from Harry, one small favor that will trap him between a nightmarish foe and an equally deadly ally, and that will strain his skills, and loyalties to their very limits. This book was frikkin’ insane! Harry’s got himself in a pickle this time! And th...

Review of Dark Legion by Paul Kleynhans – L. K. Evans
http://booksbylkevans.com/2015/03/07/review-of-dark-legion-by-paul-kleynhans
8211; Keepers of Arden. Review of Dark Legion by Paul Kleynhans. I REALLY LIKED IT. Blood of Blood #1. Saul is a prince who was captured and forced into slavery by an emperor who’d conquered his kingdom. We start Saul’s story on the day he escapes his captors and sets off to regain his kingdom’s freedom. The premise is very simple yet I found the story took some rather nice turns. So overall, this is a good book with huge potential in the second installment, which I fully plan on reading. March 7, 2015.
