The long road to China. Janet needed to prove her United States naturalization paperwork was authentic. Unfortunately she was naturalized before the age of computer records. And it took four months for someone to find her file in Nebraska. All we imagine is a big cavernous room filled with storage boxes and files. Finally in at the end of August 2007 we submitted our paperwork to China. And so the wait begins. File first I-600A – 4.25.07. Approved I-600A. I-171H is issued – 6.13.07. What is an I-600A?

Our first and most memorable hike with her was when she walked about 10 yards before calling it quits at the age of three. This weekend, we took a path along the LMU “bluff.”. As they walked, it struck me as to how much she’s grown. When we got to the top of the trail, we saw all the development that overtaken the area – it was a wetlands area.

Bits of Our Weekend: Vol. 217. This weekend was warm – so we thought. But we’re near the ocean so temperatures are never too extreme. Then we ventured to the “Valley” and we quickly went from 81 F to 99 F. Luckily our friends have a pool. Quinn was thrilled. I had purchased water blasters for all the kids. Bits of Our Weekend: Vol. 239. This weekend we visit the Gentle Barn. With Crazy Auntie Mona. I must say the hour drive there wasn’t too bad, but the two hour drive in Sunday LA traffic wasn’t fun. This place rescues all sorts of animals from abusive situations, abandonment and other situations. It was a great, but very warm day. When we left the area, it was over 90 degrees F. Quinn and I fed the horses and one donkey a bag full of carrots. This horse, Caesar, was in the movie Zorro. Posted in Fun stuff.

Monthly Archives: July 2015. Bits of Our Weekend: Vol.218. This weekend we saw the movie Inside Out. Clearly our family is much more emotional than the general population. I cried pretty much through the entire movie. Quinn climbed into my lap at least three times and Al found it too emotional and depressing. Luckily we still have the ability to have fun. Quinn and Dad doing their best catfish imitations. We had a nice relaxing weekend – besides the movie. Which was just what we needed.
