Innovative.Creative.Baking.Nail Art. Mincemeat and Cherry Brandy Cake. Posted on October 9, 2013. 11/2 cups plain flour. 21/2 tsps baking powder. 1 tsp vanilla extract. Cherry brandy (amount not quantifiable). Preheat the oven to 180c and grease and line a spring-form cake tin. In a large bowl, sift together the dry ingredients; plain flour, baking powder and sugar. Fold the mincemeat (and mixed fruit if required) along with the brandy into the wet mixture. When the cake has cooled, slice and serve.

Innovative.Creative.Baking.Nail Art. Posted on October 9, 2013. I just love the cookies you can buy from Supermarkets bakeries so thought I’d give it a go myself. These Jelly Bean Cookies are great, particularly for children and there is no reason why you couldn’t give them a go with different sweets such as dolly mixtures or smarties. 115g Soft Brown Sugar. 90g Jelly Beans (Standard Packet). This recipe makes about nine, good sized cookies. Preheat the oven to 190c and grease a couple of baking trays.

The criticism however, is that it didn’t rise well enough to form that deep panettone shape you see in stores and I didn’t get to the oven quick enough to cover the top in foil.
