Wednesday, November 9, 2011. Painting cars and trucks. Today at Walmart I saw these wooden trains and cars that actually roll for 97 cents. I thought having the boys paint them would be a good craft. Riley wanted to do it as soon as we got home. It was a fun inexpensive craft though if I do it again I need to use something other than watercolors. Xander had fun at first but then wanted to get down and just play with his car. Riley still isn't done, I told him he could finish it after nap.

Monday, July 27, 2009. Fun Day with Brant. We've gotten the chance to spend a lot of time with Brant this summer. Janine and I are taking turns watching the boys when one of us has a meeting or something else to go to. Brant came over again today. Here are some pictures from the day. Thursday, February 26, 2009. 5 Months and an Early Morning. Riley is 5 months old today! Apparently he was so excited about turning 5 months that he decided to get up at 2:30 this morning to celebrate. He woke me up at 2:30 talking and squealing. Even after some nice warm milk he didn't want to sleep but instead laid in the bed with me and laughed, babbled and squealed. It was cute but it was sooo. Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Saturday, September 26, 2009. Riley's first birthday party went great. We got to see a lot of friends and family and Riley really enjoyed himself. He loved digging into the cake but he hated having to be cleaned up afterwards. Here are some pictures from the party. Thank you to Janine for taking pictures for me. The birthday boy and a balloon. Saturday, November 12, 2011. It's been a busy few days. Thursday we went to Paradise Pond, then to eat lunch with Mimi and after nap the boys went to hang out with Aunt Corie, Colton and Haden while I went back to the dentist for my post-op check. Friday we had a playdate at a friends house from playgroup. In the afternoon we spent quite a bit of time walking the neighborhood so Riley could use his newly repaired tricycle. Sunday, March 28, 2010. So sad that it's time to go, but I must return to reality :(. It's my last day at the retreat and I have to go home today :( I'm looking forward to seeing my family, but I have had so much fun here it's hard to go back. A few things have happened since my last post. Much thanks to the Amigas for that! She won:( The casualties weren't as bad this time. Just a broken toe, some scratched hands, and a few peed in panties! I wasn't the big winner, but I did get a call from Lucifer!

Purely Pickens: Riley's 3 year check up

Tuesday, November 8, 2011. Riley's 3 year check up. So it's a month late but we had Riley's 3yr check up at the doctors today. The appointment went pretty well although both Riley and Xander took turns being scared. Riley now weighs 40 lbs and is 42 inches tall. That makes him 99th percentile for height and 97th for weight. Basically he's a big but healthy boy. Both boys enjoy playing with the beaded toy in the weighting room. After the doctors we played on the steps and took an elevator ride.

Tuesday, June 8, 2010. Wednesday, June 2, 2010. Home from the hospital! They let us leave the hospital just 24 hours after Xander was born! What a contrast from the 10 days I stayed when Riley was born. It is so nice to be home! Xander in the carseat ready to go. Trying out his bassinet at home. Not sure why the pictures are turned. Just turn your head for now until I figure out how to fix it. Tuesday, June 1, 2010. Alexander Patrick Pickens was born 6/1/2010 at 2:31 pm. Both Xander and I are doing great!
