Anxious to heal | Distant Worlds | Strange Encounters
https://gopaldass.wordpress.com/2015/07/26/anxious-to-heal
Distant Worlds Strange Encounters. July 26, 2015. He really wanted her to feel better. This was a new and overwhelming experience for Savitri. She hadn’t expected a complete stranger to empathise with her with such intensity. She had thought the visit to the clinic would be similar to a conversation with the family doctor. Like the time she had sought advice for her depression after the birth of the twins. Was it time she stopped caring? There was little to suggest he had any real skill. He wanted to...

Savitri Khanna Goes To The Toilet | Distant Worlds | Strange Encounters

Distant Worlds Strange Encounters. Savitri Khanna Goes To The Toilet. December 29, 2014. The singing was monotonous and tuneless, punctuated by squeaks and whistles from the older one whose voice was just starting to break. The boys didn’t flinch even once as the entire family stared at them throughout the performance, which lasted just over 6 minutes. Afterwards, the sister-in-law broke the silence. Wasn’t that fantastic? None of this went down well with the sister-in-law. At first, she silent endur...

Depressed Cat | Distant Worlds | Strange Encounters
https://gopaldass.wordpress.com/2015/02/08/depressed-cat
Distant Worlds Strange Encounters. February 8, 2015. When the catnip tisane didn’t work we realised the cat must have some pretty serious issues to deal with. So we left her alone, hoping she would feel better soon. If not, we’ll try a few other tricks. To be honest, we’d never had a depressed cat before, so we didn’t really know what to do. Preeta | Distant Worlds | Strange Encounters

Distant Worlds Strange Encounters. Aunty Preeta and the Bar of Soap. Vinnie, Ravi and I rolled our eyes in unison when we heard Aunty Preeta’s name. ‘Not her again! We thought. Aunty Preeta was always up to something. We didn’t really care, but were nonetheless affected by her eccentric behaviour. Mummy always sunk into a bad mood every time aunty Preeta did something silly. There was nothing much we could do except fade into the background and wait for mummy’s temper to cool. Mummy thanked principle ma’...

Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear. May 17, 2013 at 11:04. 8230;and it has nothing to do with this post, or perhaps it has! So much is happening in my life right now, that I haven’t had the time to process it, let along write an indulgent post. But then, even without the time, I love this blog and here I am, giving you updates as best as I can. Only to find the familiar sight at the exact same spot as the previous night. I am positive this one has been living somewhere in the kitchen out o...

A friend is, as it were, a second self – Marcus Tullius Cicero. October 20, 2013 at 01:50. And what can revive such a long silence on this blog but my best friend’s birthday? And so here we are, taking stock of a year gone by and back to celebrating the greatest relationship of my life…it is sacred to me and bigger than this life itself. And so, dearest TwinFlame, many many happy returns of the day! WISH YOU A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! And so here’s what I have to give to you this year:. When your friend spea...

How we change with time! | BoHeMiAn RhApSoDy
https://chandni.wordpress.com/2014/09/09/how-we-change-with-time
How we change with time! September 9, 2014 at 18:15. These days, I am quite on the “looking back, looking forward” mode. I ended up reading so many of my old posts as part of motivating myself to write again, and honestly, I can’t even imagine the person who wrote them! From being a carefree happy-go-lucky person living one minute/day at a time, I now find myself a constant worrier, apprehensive of the future, wanting to plan each and every event in my life to an extent that there is no room for surprises.

Invocation: Neelima/Gopal | Distant Worlds | Strange Encounters

Distant Worlds Strange Encounters. It was a pleasure having you stay with us last month. And please stop apologising, you were not a ‘riotous burden’ as you keep saying. We greatly enjoyed your company and your constant stream of jokes kept us all in good spirits. Especially papa whose hasn’t been keeping well for a while. I fondly recollect our discussions and long walks. Do you remember the time we found that tiny village on the other side of the river? I remember your instructions, they seem quite abs...

Distant Worlds Strange Encounters. Busking on a weekend. Busking on A Weekend. The Chinese don’t belly dance you muppet! Ruari growled as he stubbed the cigarette on the door frame and flicked the butt at the sallow faced lad standing at the door. Then he grabbed him by the collar and hissed, ‘you better sort this one out! Before pushing him into the street. I’m sorry, no work,’ he said slowly. Yes,’ said Eoghan. ‘No! I mean no no work today.’. He begged, ‘before Siobhan comes home.’. Ruari, who was in t...

Rhamba | Distant Worlds | Strange Encounters
https://gopaldass.wordpress.com/rhamba
Distant Worlds Strange Encounters. In a land rather far away from here, there lived a princess named Rhamba. It was widely believed that she possessed the secret of eternal youth. Many had tried to gain this knowledge by means devious and otherwise, but none had succeeded so far. Which effectively put her in control of her own destiny. She could live as long as she wished. The idea was that once her daughter had learnt the intricacies of the beauty regimen she could blissfully shed her Earth-boun...And s...
