A Blythe Epiphany: Inverness 5-01-10
http://blythepiphany.blogspot.com/2010/05/inverness-5-01-10.html
Now with more curry. Saturday, May 01, 2010. We spent a leisurely morning in Pitlochry, a lovely town that's known for its hiking trails and big with outdoorsy types. I'd love to have more time to explore the area, but we're headed out this afternoon for Inverness. Where they make "stones" out of the stems of the heather plant, and fashion them into jewelry and gifts. Posted by Epiphany @ 10:12 PM. Wilmington, North Carolina, United States. A Blythe Epiphany: Nothing to report
http://blythepiphany.blogspot.com/2010/02/nothing-to-report.html
Now with more curry. Friday, February 26, 2010. Yes, that's right. I really have nothing to say. Actually, I have tons, but none that I feel would be appropriate in this little obscure corner of the oh-so-public world. That being said, I'm all aflutter. Yes, you heard me. Aflutter. yougottaproblemwiththat? I think I'm feeling the arrival of spring. As I said, there's nothing really new or exciting to report, but somehow life does feel just a little bit new and exciting to me nonetheless.

Now with more curry. Wednesday, August 31, 2005. The song in my head. There's a song that's been playing in my head since Sunday night. It's a beautiful and heartbreaking piano ballad by Zachary Richard, called Big River. Water’s on the river rising. More water come more land float away. People from Catahoula down to Berwick Bay. They got no place left to stay. When the water come out the basin. There ain’t nothing waterproof. Standing on the levee with the river raging. I’ve got nothing left to lose.

Now with more curry. Friday, April 29, 2005. I Love A Parade. But I love a concert even more. And tonight I've been invited to go with a friend to see Jesse Cook. Tonight. I must confess, I'd never even heard of him before, but when I listened to the clips online, I fell in love. ok, perhaps that's overstating, but I really liked it, and I'm looking forward to the concert. Maybe there'll be a mosh pit! Or I can go crowd surfing! But I'll probably just buy a cd. :-). Posted by Epiphany @ 10:23 AM. And, it...

Now with more curry. Thursday, December 30, 2004. Big for my britches. Yes, I'm feeling mighty cool, as I'm sitting in the airport, on my laptop, updating this blog via my spiffy new wireless card (thanks, hon! I feel like I'm in that commercial, where the guy's running his hands all around the side and back of the computer, looking for the wires. So anyway, I just thought I'd share that. Also, I'm trying to contain my excitement at the thought that I'm gonna be in PARIS soon! Saturday, December 25, 2004.

Now with more curry. Thursday, July 28, 2005. I live near a beach? Apparently, yes. A friend of mine invited me to the beach a couple of days ago and, still being a water baby at heart, I lept at the chance. Well, I lept at it right after making a few advanced apologies for my extreme paleness -English people look at me and say, "crikey, you're pale! And for being slightly squishier than the last time he saw me in a swimsuit. Winter was not kind to me. Damn the french and their cheese. This is a shot of ...

RIP Ron Ashton - An original Stooge. Just found out that Ron Ashton, guitarist for Iggy and the Stooges, was found dead yesterday. For me, Ron's shining moment was not on guitar, but on bass. On the Raw Power. Album, his churning bottom riffs—scraped directly from the sludgy floors of a thousand rock club bathrooms—pounded out the foundation for one of the most vivacious, out-of-control rock albums of all time. Rest in peace, Ron! Attention TSA scholars: Saltpetre Sulphur Charcoal = BANG! I know you don'...

A Blythe Epiphany: Drama! Nail biting!

Now with more curry. Sunday, April 18, 2010. Well, we're set to depart for Scotland in nine days, but four days ago an Icelandic volcano with an unpronounceable name (unless you can pronounce Eyjafjallajokull - I clicked the wikipedia prouncer-thingy. It's hard to be too vocal about my disappointment, because there are thousands of travelers stranded in places they weren't even traveling to or from. There are people who have spent all their money on holiday, and now can't even get home or.
