Saturday, February 27, 2010. Footy and The City at Night. Melbourne (pronounced Melbin) at night is beautiful. The Yarra river runs through the 'downtown' area of the city near Flinders Street Station (main train station) and Federation Square (an open gathering place). Monday, May 31, 2010. The Croft Institute is a very unique bar in Melbourne. After walking through a maze of lane ways directed by graffiti you come to a dead end where the entrance to the building is. It is a run down building where they have installed various medical paraphernalia. It has an eerie feel to it but is definitely a hot spot and very well known. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Monday, April 26, 2010. ANZAC Day- April 25. ANZAC Day is the commemorative day of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. It commemorates and shows appreciation for those that fought in World War II, much like our Remembrance Day. There was a service and a wreath laying ceremony both before the parade very early in the morning. I only went to the parade and the later service that was held after the parade.
