I have had a busy week, promoting autism awareness and living autism. I started to promote awareness at my karate class. Meet one of my young students who is just too cute. I handed out my ‘the autistic voice’ cards at two events I attended over a long weekend. Hat an exhausting day. I am getting quite attached to this...

Appreciating Life's Highs… and Lows. Dr Sandra Beale-Ellis. May 21, 2015. By Dr Sandra Beale-Ellis. As much as anything I need to keep inspiring myself to keep going. Writing books is not like writing an academic thesis. I no longer have a supervisor watching over every step; I have to just get on with it. SNEAK PREVIEW: Autism and Martial Arts →. I agree, p...

Appreciating Life's Highs… and Lows. Dr Sandra Beale-Ellis. DISPELLING THE MYTHS OF AUTISM. April 9, 2015. By Dr Sandra Beale-Ellis. Three years ago I wrote the article which follows as a paper for a journalist’s course I was undertaking at the time. I came across it today and thought I would resend it to the universe. I wonder if anything has changed since then? To a group of individuals with little or no knowledge, and they are likely to have an opinion as to what it means. It is a question I find very...

Appreciating Life's Highs… and Lows. Dr Sandra Beale-Ellis. Author: Dr Sandra Beale-Ellis. August 11, 2016. By Dr Sandra Beale-Ellis. Today, after a few days of olive oil drops, he had his ears checked and syringed and he found out he had what seemed to be a 40 year build up of wax in the non-tinnitus ear. He couldn’t believe the noise levels when he left the doctor’s surgery. If you can’t imagine how this partial deafness feels, think about when you get water in your ears while swimming, or under ...
