Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Yes, you laughed at the title. I heard you. It's okay, it's funny.}. We haven't talked chickens in a while, have we? I think the last time we checked in, the girls had just moved into the backyard. Things have changed a bit since then. I'm no math expert, but dog years don't hold a candle to chicken years. They hatched on February 22, for crying out loud. Now they're enormous birds with big, bright red combs, gorgeous flowing tail feathers, and eggs. Eggs! I know a {little} guy.

Not only was this a very emotional week last week with finding out at recital rehearsals that my grandpa died, but we also had our A/C unit quit so there's $5k to replace, and a very hectic schedule of events with SAU Graduation and such.I pushed through and tried to make life go on as normal as I could last week. Thursday, August 13, 2015. I think I have written about the precise moment the ultrasound tech told me Nora was a girl a dozen times on this blog. Nathan danced a happy jig, Owen's eyes widened, and tears let loose from my mine. It keeps cropping up because it marked a distinct turning point in the flow of the Bunch. Not because this baby was of a different sex than the two before, but because of what that little girl would mean for us. I guess sometimes we're lucky enough to get exactly what we want?
