Daca portocalele sunt fructele specifice zonei mediteraneene, iar bananele sunt caracteristice zonei calde,ecuatoriale, atunci cu siguranta merele reprezinta simbolul climatului nostru, temperat. Marului ii merge cel mai bine in zonele cu clima temperat oceanica sau continentala, intr-un sol fertil, pe versantii cu orientare sudica unde primeste suficienta lumina pentru a-si coace fructele divers colorate, de la galbene sau verzi, pana la rosii. Deci, daca nu ati facut-o inca, mai aveti timp pana in 2019 sa vizitati Sassi di Matera inainte sa ajunga o atractie turistica aglomerata, plina de curiosi veniti din toate partile lumii. Joi, 27 noiembrie 2014. Am ajuns si la finalul ultimei luni de toamna, cu specificarea ca, cel putin in ultima saptamana a fost iarna de-a dreptul, cu temperaturi sub "-" dimineata si peste noapte. Duminică, 16 noiembrie 2014. Si in final, bobocii de camelie pe care ii asteptam de atata timp. Mi-am comandat camelia in decembrie 2012 si de atunci nu am avut norocul sa infloreasca. Iata ca acum se pare ca daca ii merge bine, prin februarie-martie va voi arata florile de camelie. Miercuri, 5 noiembrie 2014.

Luni, 27 aprilie 2015. Putine plante de primavara sunt atat de iubite ca si liliacul (Syringa vulgaris), care infloreste la sfarsitul lunii aprilie si inceputul lunii mai. Perioada de inflorire este de relativ scurta durata, dar odata cu liliacul oamenii credeau ca au certitudinea ca nu mai este posibil sa dea gerul peste noapte sau sa se intoarca iarna. In tara noastra exista chiar si Sarbatoarea Liliacului, organizata intr-o padure de langa Baia de Arama. Luni, 20 aprilie 2015. În grabă prin grădină.
