A Flagon of Ale: February 2012

http://flagonofale.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

A Flagon of Ale. Beer drinking and brewing from the Twin Cities. Tuesday, February 7, 2012. This past weekend was Winterfest. The sister festival to fall's Autumn Brew Review. Where ABR is generally packed and outdoors, Winterfest is a bit more austere, hosted in the beautiful Minnesota History Center, and limited to 700 tickets. But it seems be generating a lot of interest and excitement and I haven't heard much backlash. Perhaps some will succumb to market forces etc, but so far, it seems, so good.

A Flagon of Ale. Beer drinking and brewing from the Twin Cities. Wednesday, April 20, 2011. International Homebrew Project recap. A bit behind schedule, but finished nonetheless. The beer brewed for the International Homebrew Project. Was voted on, brewed, bottled and now it has also been drunk. I can say it was one of the most interesting recipes I have ever brewed. My version. 25 lbs Warminster Maris Otter 51%. 0375 lbs Simpson's Dark Crystal 8%. 05 lbs Amber malt 10%. 0375 lbs Brown malt 8%. Just anot...

A Flagon of Ale. Beer drinking and brewing from the Twin Cities. Monday, August 15, 2011. A request to bars. Please, can we start serving beer in the proper glassware? I think we've outgrown the straight-sided shaker pint glass. It's fine sometimes, but if we're going to take the time to serve beer from 3 different continents (and likely at $6 a pint) it's not too much to ask to have them served in different glasses is it? Wednesday, August 10, 2011. Brew City, USA. Either way, I'll surely be back to che...

My only determinants were tha...

What to drink in Barcelona. Friday, 20 February 2015. The Session #96: Roundup. It is high time the RoundUp was posted. Birraire - Beer Blog: November 2014

http://eng.birraire.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

What to drink in Barcelona. Wednesday, 26 November 2014. Not just another beer pairing session. Some weeks you feel like a truck has run you over. I guess last friday I felt this way, and thats why I was hoping for 7:30 PM to arrive. No external factor, nor even the almost impossible mission to park a car in a neighbourhood like Gràcia, was going to prevent me from having a great time at the first BeerStorming, an event organised in Barcelona by my mates from  BrewHome. Friday, 7 November 2014. Deep in t...

Japonia: Sapporo Kuradashi Draft Beer | Banca de Bere

https://bancadebere.wordpress.com/2013/05/25/japonia-sapporo-kuradashi-draft-beer

România: Nenea Iancu Bere Alba. Japonia: Sapporo Kuradashi Draft Beer. Sapporo Breweries, Tokyo, Japonia. Pale lager...

What to drink in Barcelona. Wednesday, 28 January 2015. You could say it was an intense Friday. At 4:30 am my computer was already on at full throttle to buy some time. What to drink in Barcelona. Sunday, 12 October 2014. 7 Tweets Post #1. AJ deLange stated that as brewers progress in their careers, they learn quite a bit about malt, hops and yeast before acquiring a similar level of knowledge about water. Our beers are improving more and more each day; if we keep working we are unstoppable. Thursday, 9 October 2014. Pubs in North-West Wales - The Black Boy Inn. April 1st, 2013. 2012 batch, from a 12 oz. bottle, served in a tulip glass. Untappd: 4.5 caps. First off, let me apologize for my absence. It’s rather tough to post without a computer. But I finally got a new one, so I’m back. In a big way. KAY. BEE. ESS. Black as oil with a thin khaki head. Lots of cocoa and sweetness, balanced with just a touch of coffee roast. Thick and smooth. Really full body. Miraculous. Can I say miraculous? Big thanks to Mike for. Tweeted a series of cryptic messages. Smooth, alm...
