January | 2010 | The Berlin Life

Archive for January, 2010. On January 3, 2010 Leave a Comment. One of the greatest things about Germany at Christmas is the Christmas markets. Mel and I went to the one at Alexanderplatz, where the CN-Tower-like building is, but she also had a week off before I did, so she went to as many as she possibly could, including Spandau, Gendarmenmarkt and the Operpalais. Needless to say, it didn’t last very long. Next to their dinner is ours – potatoes, peas/corn, and chicken. Read Full Post ».
Playing Tourists | The Berlin Life

Laquo; Winter Wonderland. March 7, 2010 by Adam. We took the dogs for their haircut appointments yesterday, and decided that instead of lounging around the apartment (as we’ve done for most of the winter) we’d play tourists for a day and go for a trip through Berlin. We caught the next bus in front of the pet store and headed towards the centre of the city. We took one of the trains to Kreuzberg – where I used to live, and one of our favourite areas of Berlin. One of our favourite things about ...We got ...

Archive for February, 2010. On February 28, 2010 Leave a Comment. We also went ice skating a couple of times as a part of the sports program. It was a lot of fun considering that my feet hadn’t touched a pair of skates since grade school. The most recent event in my class was a trip out to a museum called “The Story of Berlin”, which went through the various time periods from Prussia to the present. Highly recommended. Cool Spots | The Berlin Life

This is a little list of some of our favourite places around Berlin. If you’re ever here, be sure to check them out! An eccentric, asian/victorian/arts-and-crafts-inspired bar in Mitte, with a very interesting menu and atmosphere. Good food, good service, and you can’t help but look at everything in the bar. It has multiple levels and platforms, and most nights features live music of some sort. Check out our blog post. For some more info. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.
