Growing Organic Children: Our CSA boxes
http://growingorganicchildren.blogspot.com/2010/07/our-csa-boxes.html
Wednesday, July 21, 2010. The first CSA is Full Circle Farm in Carnation. They are actually the largest CSA in the nation and you only have to pay weekly instead of everything up front. AND they are a year-round CSA! I get the opportunity to test out new things weekly. Plus, who doesn't love getting baby yellow. Carrots or little thumbalina globe carrots to munch on all week. Jasper's going to love them! How un-ordinary and un-boring! Did I mention that I'm excited? Wednesday, July 21, 2010 11:51:00 AM.

Growing Organic Children: I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts
http://growingorganicchildren.blogspot.com/2011/04/ive-got-lovely-bunch-of-coconuts.html
Monday, April 11, 2011. I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts. So, setting out on a gluten and dairy free adventure can be trying to say the least. Worth doing, but super frustrating when the commercial for Cold Stone Creamery comes on for the seemingly 15th time during your half an hour show. So, Chris and I set out to figure out some wonderful stand-ins to our old favorites. And, yes, we have made some sweet success! And what about those Cold Stone Creamery commercials? 1/2 c unrefined cane sugar (or aga...

Growing Organic Children: July 2010
http://growingorganicchildren.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 21, 2010. I'm married to a hippie. So, we set out to start accomplishing some of these goals. Mind you, we live in a two-bedroom condo in North Kirkland- a rather populated area of the Northwest- not exactly conducive to most of these goals. But, Chris, the ever optimist, decided that cheese making is where he was going to start. What he figured out, after a quick tour of the internet. And it was ok. Yep, he tried to give the American mozzarella a go and on the third. How un-ordinary and ...

Growing Organic Children: And Away We Go!
http://growingorganicchildren.blogspot.com/2010/07/and-away-we-go.html
Wednesday, July 21, 2010. And Away We Go! So, listen, I'm not into spending a huge amount of money, pretty much on anything at this point (hence not buying the expensive cookbook! Produce and grocery products. That was until I bought the cookbook, "Food to Live By" by Myra Goodman. And I want that for my children as well. Listen, if you knew (or even just heard rumors) of a medicine to make your sick child well, wouldn't you go to the ends of the earth to get it? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Growing Organic Children: Eight months and counting
http://growingorganicchildren.blogspot.com/2011/04/eight-months-and-counting.html
Monday, April 11, 2011. Eight months and counting. Well, I apologize that I haven't posted in more than half a year! It's amazing to me that time has slipped by so quickly! Let me catch you up with the goings-on around here. Because it tastes good? Because I derive some sort of comfort or pleasure from it? How much pleasure or comfort can I really get from something that makes me feel that bad? Seriously, if you need to go gluten free or dairy free or egg free, there's so much to glean from this book....
