Interpretive Stance.: Little Boy
http://interpretivestance.blogspot.com/2015/03/little-boy.html
Monday, March 30, 2015. Somewhere along the line, my baby has become less of a smiley little bump on a log, and a full blown little person. Like seriously, where did my baby go? I've got a boy on my hands. It's so exciting and fun and also a little bittersweet because those sweet baby days are done, never to return. Because listening to your baby cry at bedtime is THE WORST, and while he is not left to "cry it out", even a couple of minutes of this makes my motherheart feel like it might break. He claps&...

Navigating myself toward real food and great health, one bite at a time. Simplifying nutrition and using food as medicine - one bite at a time. My goal with this blog is to set folks straight about what good nutrition. Starting by discarding the info we get every day from 'sponsors' that do not really have our best interests at heart, I want to inspire you to eat better AND realize it is much easier than you thought it would be! And you can use your daily routine as your vehicle to drive that change :).

Interpretive Stance.: One Week In
http://interpretivestance.blogspot.com/2015/01/one-week-in.html
Saturday, January 24, 2015. We have been here a week now, and we are feeling pretty relaxed! We have had fresh bakes brownies delivered to our door by Lisa (BEST. BROWNIES. EVER. OMG), invites to dinner (fresh blue fin tuna, dorado, homemade ice creak sandwiches), and last night we watched Dave play guitar at Casa del Pintor, where I ate the most delectable Chile Rellenos. I am in love with our routine .James surfs in the early am, Silas and I check out the sunrise and beach, play and then he naps (l...

Interpretive Stance.: The Sleeping Games
http://interpretivestance.blogspot.com/2015/01/the-sleeping-games.html
Tuesday, January 06, 2015. As I praised the Gods of sleep and got my hopes up that the days of short stretches of sleep were a thing of the past suckaaaaaas! I realized YET AGAIN that babies are completely unpredictable and you can literally only count on one thing - that whatever it is that they are doing today, will likely change completely by tomorrow. Interpretive Stance.: 154 Days Old!
http://interpretivestance.blogspot.com/2014/11/154-days-old.html
Monday, November 10, 2014. And all of a sudden, Silas is five months old! And with this, he is all of a sudden not needing to nurse as frequently as I'm used to, so we are able to go 3 or 4 hours without me needing to worry about feeding him. It took me a couple of days to realize this, because it literally happened just. like. that! This new turn of events is nice. It's easier to get out of the house (not that it ever stopped me! Getting my hairs did. A little shorter, healthier and less blond. We got h...

Interpretive Stance.: Meat Free Mondays!
http://interpretivestance.blogspot.com/2011/11/meat-free-mondays.html
Tuesday, November 01, 2011. The last couple of months, I have been partaking in Meat Free Monday. The basic principle of the movement is that if we all have one less meat based meal per week, we can play a large part in helping reduce harmful global Co2 emissions. Click the link for more details (such as, this is Sir Paul McCartney's baby, it's healthier for you, etc etc).
