Blah, blah, blah...

Saturday, April 23, 2011. I am even more appreciative in light of seeing some neighbors who are still unemployed and have now surpassed me in length of time in that status. I really appreciate how they feel and pray for them. We've been enjoying spring, with the exception of a round of colds that has hit us. Thankfully they haven't been too bad. The garden is almost ready to go in and the flower beds are cleaned out and being expanded as soon as we can get a border put down. Saturday, January 1, 2011.

Blah, blah, blah...: April 2009

http://www.thecampbellcamp.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Sunday, April 26, 2009. Back at the first of April when we thought Spring might have sprung, the kids were enjoying a nice day out on the swings in the backyard. I remember being small enough to do this. Those were good days! What in the world? I have no idea what my kids are doing here while watching TV, but it looks funny. Sunday, April 5, 2009. It is hard to humble yourself when being taught a lesson by/through your kids. I had one of those experiences this week. A medley by Brynley. What in the world?

Sunday, May 17, 2009. Fathers and Sons - 2009. The worst part was trying to get out there. Traffic on Main Street was absolutely horrible. We creeped down the road for almost half an hour before we got to our turn off. Ugh! I'm glad I don't have to fight that every night after work. So between the grassy field, the creek and the big sandhill they found, the kids were running around having a blast while the fathers hung out and talked about hobbies and activities and whatnot. First campout of the year!

Sunday, September 6, 2009. Not the dance, The FOOD! I love fresh, home made salsa. I usually try to fit in a batch or two each summer. This year has been a bit frustrating as our tomatoes and peppers have been rather behind in coming on. With a little help from our neighbors I finally gathered enough peppers to go along with my first collection of tomatoes large enough to make some salsa with today. Good stuff. My brother-in-law Chad and I couldn't stop munching for quite a while tonight. Lolcats - icanh...

Saturday, January 1, 2011. So good to see you! Not that 2010 was all bad, but it was definitely over shadowed by two largely unpleasant events:. The February passing of my mother-in-law at the tender age of 69. Being unemployed for about six months, from April to October. All the same, six months without employment was definitely not the best of times and something I hope to not repeat, ever. And that is just our family! What helps me look back on the year with some optimism:. This was the first summer I...

My Campbell Clan: Brynley's 4th Birthday

http://yvonnecampbell.blogspot.com/2009/04/brynleys-4th-birthday.html

Sunday, April 26, 2009. I can't believe my baby girl is 4! We had a really fun birthday day! She did not want a friend birthday party! She just wanted her cousins to come over! So they came over and we had a family birthday party! Brynley.after opening her presents. All dressed for the event! For the last four months, all she wanted for her birthday was a princess castle birthday cake! So that is what I did for her. It took over 4 hours, but she loved it! In the beginning stages! A little more progress!

My Campbell Clan: June 2008

http://yvonnecampbell.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html

Sunday, June 15, 2008. I just returned from Youth Conference at the Mann Camp in Delta, UT. Totally in the middle of no where! Can I just say "Loved it". It's a big building next to the Delta powerplant where the workers used to stay. It was perfect to entertain 150 teenagers. It had basketball, tennis, raquet ball courts. Pool and ping pong tables. Shuffle board. Huge cafeteria. I am glad to be home so I can sleep in my own bed again! But especially to be with my sweet family again. Love them!

My Campbell Clan: Strawberry Cheesecake Trifle

http://yvonnecampbell.blogspot.com/2009/03/strawberry-cheesecake-trifle.html

Friday, March 27, 2009. So this is the first time I have ever made a trifle. It was totally not as hard as I thought It would be. I'm kind of proud of myself! Not the prettiest, without all the garnish on top.but who needs that! It's the taste that counts! 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened (I used Nuefachel). 2 cups powdered sugar. 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream (I used light). 1/4 teaspoon almond extract. 1 tub (12 oz) Cool Whip, thawed (I used light). 3 Gently stir in cake pieces; set aside.

Tuesday, July 8, 2008. Camping Trip June 2008. We had our first camping trip of this year! We went up Spanish Fork Canyon to a place Chad and Brook have been to before. It was a great place to camp. We also had a few additions to our camping gear that made things more pleasant. An EZ up tent to go over the table. A table to cook the dutch oven (no bending down). We loved it and so did the kids. Here are a few pictures. Locked out at 2 am. So my friend and I were sharing a queen size air mattress. Some ai...

My Campbell Clan: January 2009

http://yvonnecampbell.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

Friday, January 30, 2009. Have I ever said that we live with a princess. Well, this is total proof! Brynley had two of her good friends come over to play.you guessed it. Such cute princesses.don't you think? Princess Girl playing Power Rangers. I was going through older photo files and found this little video clip of Brynley. This is from August 2008, so it's not too old. I just thought it was cute. She first comes in and wants me to put Braden's power ranger mask on, then goes in the hall, and says.

http://yvonnecampbell.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 17, 2009. Look at our handsome boy! He got braces and glasses on the very same day a few weeks before 3rd grade! He has been such a good sport and has actually loved having glasses.the braces he could probably do without because they have caused him some pain. it's just four braces to straighten the top teeth! You can't really tell in this photo, but the ear pieces on his glasses are a camo pattern! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). This too shall pass. Card Contest Entry 5. Blah, blah, blah.

http://yvonnecampbell.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html

Thursday, May 29, 2008. Well, It has been a few weeks since I have written anything, sorry. It has been busy. You know the last few weeks of school. Scott also had the big move of his company from one side of town to the other (glad that is over). Here is a picture of Braden's dance festival at school. Also somethings to look foward to. New carpet and paint in our house. So we should have a pretty busy and fun summer! Tuesday, May 13, 2008. When I ask my little girl if her name is Brynley. Mike, Torie an...

Friday, December 17, 2010. Why the existence of this blog is completely pointless. Allow me to give you a brief glimps into my everyday life. Children A-E are up and about. Child A is playing with legos. Child B (the artist) is writing, drawing, cutting and pasting. Children C-D have decided to get out every board game they own and scatter the contents of said board games across the length of the house. Child E has messed her diaper and is hungry. There are 5 beds to be made. (. Most likely Child B.

April 27, 2015. Learning about work from a Master swimmer. Two weekends ago I returned to competitive swimming. It was a leap of faith, since my first, last and only other swim meet appearance was three decades ago. Although in that meet I only warmed up and never competed. While each kudos was well-earned, there was consistency among them. Each acclaim was followed by an authentic appreciation. Thank you, he said.
