The Bayer Update: March 2015
http://thebayerfam.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Now we are FOUR. Thursday, March 26, 2015. Just a few days back was a big milestone in the Bayer clan. Ed turned 90! He didn't want a big bash, so we celebrated with a small family brunch at a delicious restaurant literally ON the water in Berkeley. He looked dapper, we all ate our weight in food, and the kids behaved rather well. All in all, a great day to celebrate a great man. Happiest of Birthdays to you Nonno! We hope this year is the best one yet for you. Uncle Joe and Uncle Ed - Nonni's brothers.

Now we are FOUR. Monday, January 26, 2015. A video of Ryan on skis (he's the little nugget in the middle of the screen, Eddy is in front of him). And here is Miss Kaitlyn - in all her singing (and stuttering - hoping this is not a permanent trait, but Ry did the same thing at this age and his went away, so for now we just laugh at her) glory. And one more song…. Sunrise over the lake - still gorgeous, even without snow. Ski day at the tip top of Squaw. Who invited the yoga/snowboarding master? The next d...

Now we are FOUR. Monday, May 11, 2015. A day for the Mothers. We took a quick trip to Monterey for the weekend with Eddy's family, to celebrate life, and being a family, oh yea and Mother's Day. It was a great little getaway, despite some clouds and chilly temps for the majority of our time there. The sun peeked out at the end, which helped remind us really how beautiful it is down there. 1st Stop: the Dennis the Menace Park. Nonni sure did a great job raising these 3 fine kids! After our time at the bea...

Adventures in Life With 2 Boys. Sunday, January 5, 2014. Given that we don't like to be out driving around with all the crazy people on this holiday, we stuck around home and spent another fun 4th with neighbors. The kids were even old enough to try sparklers this year! Resting before the fireworks. Tyler helped me make festive patriotic cupcakes.even frosting and decorating his own! Trying sparklers with his friend Mackenna. He began protesting going into the carseat. Stats at his 9 month check up:.

Now we are FOUR. Thursday, October 30, 2014. Here are a few more random photos from our travels. The La Jolla coast, looking up at Torrey Pines. Where are all the seals? We stopped at the Torrey Pines golf course just to take a look - Eddy was having a moment, drooling. We will just have to come back soon so he can play! So excited to get in there and see what it's all about! A huge pumpkin made entirely of Legos. pretty cool. I think this was my favorite lego statue. A Kaitlyn sized friend. All of us RE...

The Bayer Update: July 2015
http://thebayerfam.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Now we are FOUR. Friday, July 24, 2015. Can I just freeze time? I caught this moment as I was frantically trying to clean up the house or make the kids lunch or something. And I just stopped, smiled, and enjoyed (and then ran to get my phone to snap the pic). The kids have been taking swim lessons since the start of summer. And man has it paid off! Kaitlyn in her level 1 class (the very first day of class she let go of the wall twice and sunk to the bottom of the pool - bout near gave me a heart attack!

http://laporterfield.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Adventures in Life With 2 Boys. Tuesday, December 31, 2013. We went on a few fun treks in May, including a visit to Benicia, day trip to the foothills for a nature walk and taking our first voyage on Papa and Uncle Ryan's new sailboat. I'm so tired, I think I'll sleep right here". Can't wait to do more sailing with the boys next summer! Look out, Tyler at the helm! We started off the month with a trip to Santa Cruz to ride the steam train in the redwoods that I had heard about for some time. It was a...

The Bayer Update: February 2015
http://thebayerfam.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Now we are FOUR. Sunday, February 15, 2015. Pink heart shaped pancakes. Kinda nice to have Valentine's Day fall on a 3 day weekend this year. Combine that with no snow in Tahoe, and we had no desire to head out of town. But we celebrated in style at home! The kids each got a book for Valentine's Day - with an audio CD attached, they are loving listening to books on CD. But maybe the cards were more of the favorite gift? And maybe we let them have a few M&M's after breakfast…. Good til the last drop.
