The Catholic Heart

In 1925, Pope Pius XI canonized Father John Vianney, and proclaimed him the Patron Saint of all Parish Priests. Saint John Vianney was known everywhere as the Curà of Ars (the Pastor of Ars). He had a boundless compassion for sinners, and in his lifetime, converted thousands to Christ. We honor Saint John Vianneyâ s legacy of love, compassion, piety, humility and service to the Church. Remember that when the priest gives you absolution, you have but one thing to think of â that the Blood of the good God is flowing over your soul to purify it and make it as bright as it was made by its Baptism. Oh, how p...

The Catholic Heart

http://www.thecatholicheart.org/priesthood.cfm

Over the past several years, we have been exposed to a lot of negative news about parish priests, the priesthood in general, and the Catholic Church. The Catholic Mom

Saturday, May 9, 2015. Mother's Day without my Mom. Hough Dad did the cooking, Mom made this waffle for Annie. Doing moms hair, our weekly routine. It was my mom who gave me the good counsel to stay with my husband, when I thought of leaving him in the early years of our marriage. She offered to babysit while we got the help that we needed. Around the same time, I almost left my Catholic Faith, she steered me back on track. Happy Mother’s Day Mom! I will love you and miss you. Thursday, April 23, 2015.
