To praise or not to praise kids. Looks like Rapunzel doesnt like it when Mother Gothel pats her head. I totally get it. I always follow my urge to swat away any hand that attempts to come in contact with my head. I came across this interesting article. Their parenting made me more independent and less of someone who seeks for affirmation from others. Or I just have a very active circuit that controls my reward center in the orbital and medial prefrontal cortex. Maybe it could be both. January 3, 2014.
