The Rollins Family: August 2009
http://the-rollins-family.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 13, 2009. Our hens were about this same size when we got them 20 weeks ago. One second after this photo was taken, the egg LEAPED out of Nolan's hands and splattered onto my bedroom floor. Even though the egg is small, it had a nice big yolk inside. As far as I know, the hens aren't supposed to be laying for two more weeks, so a tiny egg is a big deal at this point. I found this tiny gem out by my clothesline. This is also an exciting day for us because. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

http://the-rollins-family.blogspot.com/2009/04/easter-egg-hunt.html
Sunday, April 19, 2009. Nolan would shake the eggs and put them back if they didn't rattle. Ruby caught on pretty quick for her first egg hunt. Ruby with her helper. She thinks Papa exists just for her. They had a great time at the grandparents' church. Papa and Grandma set up and serve donuts and coffee between services and let all the kids help them. The Rollins Family: June 2009
http://the-rollins-family.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 23, 2009. It's a sentence that totally fits her personality. She's always on the move and ready to go anywhere at any time. As soon as she walks out the door, she says "Let's go! And heads straight for the blackberry bushes. She grabs the branches and pulls off the berries shoving them in her mouth before I can even get to her. She's completely unphased. By the thorns. I don't know how she grabs a branch without crying in pain, but her love for the blackberries is more important.

The Rollins Family: January 2009
http://the-rollins-family.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 13, 2009. Lily got stuck upside-down. I had to take a picture before helping her down. Ruby loves being outside. Friday, January 9, 2009. As a family with five children, most of you can imagine that buying second-hand clothing is very important to our household. Our right to continue to do so is being taken away. A law making it illegal to buy or sell used children's clothing is due to take effect February 10. That's just a few weeks away! Thursday, January 8, 2009. RUBY: she's the newbee.

The Rollins Family: March 2009
http://the-rollins-family.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Even the dog looks after the "babies". Emily's homemade car won 2nd place for best design at AWANA last week. Lily can't keep her hands off of them. The kids have been wanting to have chicks ever since their Aunt Maddie got chicks last year. I wanted chickens as part of my effort to buy all of our food locally, and at home is as local as you can get. I like to know exactly what is in my food, and these days you can never be too careful about what you're feeding your family. Nolan...
