Friday, March 27, 2015. Everyday is a beautiful day at the Pier. Well, sometimes it is windy. And maybe cold. But as with any beach, there is always beauty to behold and discoveries to be made. I always see dolphins here. And birds. I think these are willets or sandpipers. Or willets and sand pipers. You never know what the tide will roll in. I love how I caught my toe in this photo. A footprint. Just not mine. Out on the blue. Out on the beach. The ibis were picking and pecking. Bonus Random 5 Friday.

Friday, October 31, 2014. A stroll at dusk revealed a glowing skyline. And some geese gliding by. Unaware of any danger that might be lurking in the twilight. Blood red vines hung like entrails along the real trail. Things started to look spooky. The pompous grass reached up to the heavens like the hands of a skeleton reaching up from the grave. Saturday, June 27, 2015. Biking the Red Cedar Trail. With the help of my new electric bike, I was finally able to do 26 miles on the Red Cedar Trail. In Menomonie, Wisconsin. We started our trek while the sun was low in the sky, gently dappling the fauna along the trail with rays of light. Beautiful. This was the first of many bridge crossings on this old railway line.
