Monday, July 23, 2012. Evan is, at this very moment, in the middle of a two week debate camp at Dixie State College in southern Utah. At home, on his best day, he's a man of few words. When away, he takes this unofficial teenage "vow of silence" thing to a whole new level. Crazy, right? I mean, what kid wouldn't want to reach out to his parent on a daily basis. to connect. to share? I am pleased to add however. that this trip has been better. Has Ev tried harder to reach out? Monday, May 26, 2008. So, here's a short recap. We had everything nicely planned out for a Tuesday delivery, with the intention of finishing all of our projects around the house this weekend before having the baby. Of course, that plan is shot and I am now accepting applications for any volunteering. Anyway, Kari and baby are doing great and may even come home tonight. Here are a few photos from the hospital. Baby loves her mommy. Saturday, May 24, 2008. Welcome to the world! Sunday, May 18, 2008. We hav...

Why are we here?: November 2008
http://thegoldenquestion.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 3, 2008. I'm so glad when Daddy comes home. So, after reading Megan's blog post about my dad, whose birthday it is today, I thought of all the stories that I have about my dad that need to be told. The struggle I'm having, though, is that I have been saving some of these stories for his funeral. Since there's a good chance that I will forget them, however, I guess I might share a few here. He bought his own referee shirt and whistle and was the best ref they'd ever had! Why are we here?

Why are we here?: July 2007

Sunday, July 15, 2007. So, since our camera is busted, we are stealing photos of our 4th of July trip to Austin from Josh and Melisa-hope they don't call the authorities (general). We had an amazingly fun time, especially considering the lack of sunshine. By the way, the McKinneys live in a friggin' mansion. Seriously, though, their house is beautiful and we are so glad to have them close (by Texan standards- 3 hours drive). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Why are we here? Tex McKinney and family.

Friday, July 25, 2008. This week has brought about quite a few changes in my life. 1 Our TIVO is officially up and running. I know we keep talking about that, but it's a big deal. I now have a season pass for: So You Think You Can Dance, The Office, Ellen, Oprah and Hopkins. Obviously, Craig didn't get much of a say. I can't wait till fall TV season.). 2 I have internet at home. And yes, I know it is 2008.). 3 I bought my very first iMac. 4 I now "office" in 2 cities. 5 I cried watching a teen drama.

Kristin & Craig: August 2008
http://blakemills.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 27, 2008. Last week was the family Lake Powell trip. Here are some of the highlights:. Tucker was ready for action. Then slowed a bit. Ivan broke the record for smallest skier (note the slack in the rope). All of the kids including Tucker rode the banana. Sarah got up on two skis and then learned to ski on one. We saw some great water (go Marc). Things got a little crazy at night. Apparently my nieces and nephews missed this talk:. Nowhere. It is a dead end." -President Hinckley. Look a...

Monday, September 29, 2008. Since I have been working all the time, I thought I would give you all a sneek peak of what's to come. Stay tuned. Wednesday, September 17, 2008. All Work and No Play. Credits that I've been strategically putting off for two years. Let the good times roll! Tuesday, September 9, 2008. A major wedge was removed from our marriage this week when after 4 years of convincing Kristin finally tried and acknowledged that the Cafe Rio Barbacoa Pork tastes like it was made by angels.

Monday, May 11, 2009. Sorry, my posts have been lacking as of late. I've been working until 2 in the morning every night (even Saturdays and Sundays), posting when I have the energy on mostlyhappenchance and you know, just trying to survive. I promise when I get back from the show, I will try and post once more. 1 We got our couch back and it looks amazing. Who knew our 20-year-old Mario flower couch could look so good? 2 In my "spare time," here are some wedding invites. 3 I leave for New York in 3 days!
