Living the good life in Switzerland. Tuesday, 17 August 2010. DFDS Seaways Ferry receives a Daphne Seal of Approval. Poor Daphne had to stay in the Doggy Hotel of the Ferry to Newcastle. Along with 2 other dogs she was left in a room with various sized dog cages, plenty of fresh water and some food. She refused the food – protest perhaps? Living the good life in Switzerland. Tuesday, 12 April 2011. I was reading MuddlingAlongMummy's. Blog earlier, about the banning of the burka in France. Like MuddlingAlongMummy, I have been very conflicted about this. There are arguments that women are being forced to cover their faces and hair by men, and that banning the burka means that this can no longer happen. Catholic nuns cover their bodies and hair, do we deny them the right to do so? Should we not be prosecuting and jailing men who abuse women?

Thursday, 5 January 2012. Here we go again. Ok, so it's 5th January, I am fat and depressed. My daughter has gone back to school, the buttons on my coat are hard to do up, the weather is shite, and we haven't got any money. Due to a minor accident at the beginning of November, I was unable to attend Fat Club for quite some time. Am currently 12 stone 2lbs. Wednesday, 28 September 2011. I really am one of those pathetic women that bang on about losing weight, do it for a while, and then the lure of the pizza and wine and chocolate gets too much and I fall off the wagon. So, I rejoined Slimming World last night and was hopefully shocked into losing weight properly this time - I am 5 pounds heavier than I was when I first joined the last time.
