The Constant Quilter

Friday, August 7, 2015. When I started this blog last Fall, I had already been reading my favorites for a few years. It amazed me that people who were so prolific and dedicated to their art and their blogs, posted so little in the summer months. “How hard is it to post what you have been working on that day or week? 8221; I asked myself. The Constant Quilter: April 2015

http://theconstantquilter.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Haste makes waste and lots of angst! The text may lose a piece of a letter here and there, but it will have to do as I am not doing them over! And, I am woefully behind on my Stars in a Time Warp. If I can finish Jane by Friday, I will catch up over the weekend. Why do I set these ridiculous goals? I think I just need to. Stitch all day, so my worries melt away". Enjoy your quilting today. Monday, April 20, 2015. Inch by inch - row by row. Mess behind the curtain"! I must have ...

The Constant Quilter: August 2015

http://theconstantquilter.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, August 26, 2015. Here are the last 3 weeks of Time Warp stars. When Barbara. Started this fun sew a long back in January, I was so gung-ho. I made 2 or 3 each week from the chosen topic that week. This summer I feel lucky if I get 3 done in 3 weeks! No worries, Fall is just around the corner and I'll have lots more quilting time (I hope). Week 30: Floral trailing vines (one of my favorites! Week 31: Toiles (another of my favorites). Friday, August 21, 2015. Please check out Cynid's blog (here).

The Constant Quilter: Vermont Quilt Festival - a most excellent adventure!

http://theconstantquilter.blogspot.com/2015/06/vermont-quilt-festival-most-excellent.html

Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Vermont Quilt Festival - a most excellent adventure! We (46 of us) boarded the bus at 8:00 am and headed out for a most wonderful adventure! There were only two minor glitches, both of which ended up on the positive side. 1) We had to divert our trip slightly to pick up another bus as our toilet was not functioning. We ended up with a newer, more comfortable model! Long story short, I was also "honored" with a judge's Choice ribbon from Sue Nickels. I'm sorry to say that I failed ...

The Constant Quilter: Clarification

http://theconstantquilter.blogspot.com/2015/05/clarification.html

Tuesday, May 19, 2015. OK, Spring in the boatyard (where I work) doesn’t leave much time for quilting. In fact, it is Tuesday and I haven’t made my California Gold stars yet. But, my friend Karen has and here they are. Don’t you love the radiance of that blue with the gold? Thanks for your great comments and encouragement yesterday! Debra @ Life is a Stitch. May 19, 2015 at 11:03 AM. I love the alphabet matching quilt for your grandson - looks like not just a fun quilt, but a learning one, too. I entered...

Musing - Lori East Quilts

https://lorieast.com/musing

I’m musing on something this morning…Lately I’ve heard a lot of folks talking about the criteria for judging quilts in shows. Some say that the the criteria for winning quilts are too hard to achieve, some say there are no clear criteria at all. Different shows weight different elements separately, others judge quilts with an overall approach. Is this the best way? I am really curious. Should it weigh more heavily than quilting? Or should it weigh equally? Are the current methods fair? What do you think?

April 2014 - Lori East Quilts

https://lorieast.com/2014/04

April 20, 2014. Leave a comment on Happy Resurrection Day! A Good Good Friday. It’s Good Friday. A good day. The best worst day ever. Do you know why? It’s an old, old story. One that ends, or perhaps just begins on Easter Sunday and has nothing at all to do with bunnies. A very good day. I got to have lunch out with my two best fellas today, at a little deli on our town’s square. The courthouse sits smack in the middle of the square and is always a lovely sight. Did you know henbit. Here’s one of ...

A Quilting Journey of Two Friends.who also like a glass of wine along the way. Loving My New Start and Glad to see the bindings on others. So it has been a while since I posted anything. My question is how can I have a computer at work, a home laptop and an I-pad, and the only thing I seem to be able to blog on is my husband's laptop? All have a different layout and this is the only one I seem to be able see the Dashboard. Putting photos on is also a nightmare. So lets see how this goes! Shenandoah Valle...

A Quilting Journey of Two Friends.who also like a glass of wine along the way. Its a very quick hello today as the Blog is not playing nice and won't allow me to upload photo's properly. I've progressed on "Valley Forge" a Karen Styles design from Somerset Patchwork and have it all together only needing a saw-tooth border to complete. Hopefully there will be some free time on the weekend. Happy Stitching and stay warm (or cool, depending where you are in this glorious world). Our hideout; can you feel ou...

A Quilting Journey of Two Friends.who also like a glass of wine along the way. Christmas is Upon Us. It's hard to believe we are only weeks away from Christmas where has the year gone! I hope you enjoy a little post of pretties. My precious Granddaughter; who is just Everything and fills my heart beyond words. Sewing of a different kind; these fabrics are just beautiful and I had a lot of fun on these. Plus precious little Miss wearing an outfit. And hello from Angus; who was 12 yesterday.

A Quilting Journey of Two Friends.who also like a glass of wine along the way. As Time Ticks By. Wow, it's been so long since I've posted I'd almost forgotten how! Not much stitching has been happening in my camp, as my camp has been going through some major changes. Life changes which I can only say continue to be a challenge. So for today, just a couple of pictorial updates. Firstly, French Mosaic, a Karen Cunningham design, is getting closer to having the centre done. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). PATCH...

A Quilting Journey of Two Friends.who also like a glass of wine along the way. Its the start of Spring in Australia and we are being blessed with beautiful blue skies here in Wagga Wagga and the temperature is beginning to warm slightly. We could do with some decent rain though to settle the dust and keep everything green. So some progress photos below leading to the finished top with borders attached just last night. What a feeling it's been, to be actually achieving and getting things done. Quilting an...

A Quilting Journey of Two Friends.who also like a glass of wine along the way. Another Year Almost Gone. Where has time gone, it's hard to believe that here we are nearly at the end of 2015. Life is just too busy for everyone; days roll into weeks, weeks into months and bang, 12 months is done - again. 2015 has been another big year in my books,. I'm looking forward to 2016 being more settled, a year of new beginnings, new life and happier days (and a lot more stitching! Some pictures to finish:. Wilma&#...

A Quilting Journey of Two Friends.who also like a glass of wine along the way. Quilt Fest = Inspiration Overload. Recently JulieAnn and myself had a road trip to Castlemaine in Victoria to enjoy some girl time and view the bi-annual Castlemaine Applique Group Quilt Exhibition. The whole weekend was well worth the what seemed like a never ending journey. The quilts were absolutely amazing, the majority being "our style" of quilting. Truly soul reviving and inspiration in bounds. A snippet of purchases.

The Constant Princess *. Friday, May 23, 2008. I had to add this! I haven't got very far on this blog, although I am addicted to You Tube, and so I had to add this clip. For the past 18 months I have sung this song every night to my baby while I rocked, and now cuddle him to sleep. A glutton for punishment, I don't know, but I do know he won't be a baby forever so I am making the most of it. Friday, May 23, 2008. Thursday, May 15, 2008. RSS and You Tube. Thursday, May 15, 2008.
