The Crafty Quilter's Closet: Memory Table Runners

http://thecraftyquilter.blogspot.com/2015/01/memory-table-runners.html

The Crafty Quilter's Closet. The exploits, adventures and down right silliness of the crafty quilter. If you have a Dinning room table chances are at one time or another you have had a table runner displayed. I have several that I rotate throughout the year. Some are old, very old, crocheted by my great grandmother. Some are quite new. Regardless I think they add an element of sophistication to my Dinning table. I ended up making three total. All bright and cheery. Friday, January 16, 2015.

The Crafty Quilter's Closet. The exploits, adventures and down right silliness of the crafty quilter. While sewing on Tuesday evening I ran out of black thread. Hey. It happens. I took out a new spool and threaded my machine. As I have done every time I end a spool of thread for the past year I tossed the empty spool into a bucket. Then I paused. Twenty one. Twenty one spools of thread from 200m to 5000m. Black, white and every color in-between (although admittedly mostly white). The Ellen Bag Pattern.

The Crafty Quilter's Closet: June 2014

http://thecraftyquilter.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

The Crafty Quilter's Closet. The exploits, adventures and down right silliness of the crafty quilter. Hazel's Quilt {the quilting}. With all of my machines in the shop it is good to know my Long-arm is still running. (fingers crossed) I was able to finish up this quilt and get it off in the mail. I used an all over free motion flower and leaf design for this beautiful floral quilt. I used the leftover pieces of my layer cake and some additional yardage of coordinating print. Now she if off to her new home.
