Monday, 3 August 2015. I ventured over the the 11th on Friday lunchtime with Cindy - an arrondissement I'm migrating to more and more these days - to check out the recently opened Pickled. Monday, August 03, 2015. 3 August 2015 at 15:54. Oh welcome Pickled, to the Paris food scene! It looks adorable, I shall definitely be paying a visit to say hi to Myrtille and Amandine, and taste that delicious looking cheesecake of course! 5 August 2015 at 13:58. It looks so cute! Rue Rodier: Summer Favourites
http://ruerodier.blogspot.com/2015/07/summer-favourites.html
Saturday, 18 July 2015. I've been meaning to write this long overdue post for a while now, but what with all the travelling backwards and forwards to the UK recently (I feel like I'm currently living on the Eurostar, so much so that they should install a bed for me), my blog has (as is usually the case) has taken a backseat. The British brand, Whistles. And matches a pair of silver heels that I bought from COS for the various occasions. The sunnies are Retro Super Future. It's light (even lighter than th...

Rue Rodier: October 2014
http://ruerodier.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Friday, 31 October 2014. I was one of those geeky kids with the glasses. I became a little four eyes aged 5, with a pair of My Little Pony glasses. Remember those? Caught my eye, not just for their vintage-inspired designs, but also because when you buy a pair of glasses, they give a pair to someone in need. I love a good deed. And they don't take long to arrive. I chose the Stafford style in Ivory Tortoise. I hope you enjoy the little story that was shot in the Used Book Cafe at Merci. Is tucked just be...

The Bibelotphile: April 2011
http://thebibelotphile.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
April 26, 2011. I've had this image filed as Walter Albini for ages. Now I can't recall if the famed Italian fashion designer was responsible for the jewellery, the display, or both. Whatever, it's certainly a novel approach to merchandising. April 23, 2011. I spotted this Yaguruma sash clip on a recent trip to Basel and was struck by two things: the story and the workmanship. The Bibelotphile: August 2010
http://thebibelotphile.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
August 23, 2010. Some of the oldest evidence of gold being used as ornamentation was discovered in 1972 at the Varna Necropolis in Bulgaria. Over 3000 gold artifacts were found in the graves which date back to 4600-4200 BC. The find showed that as well as having sophisticated religious beliefs about the afterlife, a hierarchal status based on differences to do with male superiority was already firmly in place •Sigh• . These cute bull-shaped gold platelets were thought to venerate virility and warfare.

In the words of my publisher. I have a magpie's tendency to hoard shiny things and since my little flat, and littler wallet, prohibit extensive collecting, I've resorted to cyberspace to stash the goods. The Bibelotphile: February 2011
http://thebibelotphile.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
February 25, 2011. I'm always on the lookout for novel ways to editorialise jewellery. This chocolate box selection card-inspired layout from Italian mag, Flair, tickles me pink. I wrote a little piece about De Grisogono's Bijoux Boule bracelet for Plaza Watch magazine recently. Here it is accompanied by Emma-Lina Ericson's cool illustration. Giraffe In Jewels. Nipples Too. Russian illustrator, Zutto. Put a smile on my face today. Even manages to make nipple pasties half acceptable. February 14, 2011.
