Saturday, February 1, 2014. Take That Back To Nantucket. You and your man from Nantucket have dirty minds. Did you know that? Gross isn't where it's at. Take that filth and drop it in a bucket. No one wants. To suck it. Take that back to Nantucket. No one wants. Get rid of your grin. That's just drool on your chin. Your poem belongs in a garbage bin. I'm no catholic. But your head is full of sin. Take that back to Nantucket. Nobody likes it. If I was. A cop I'd give you a ticket. Out of my Reach. I don't...

The Daily Eben: November 2013

http://thedailyeben.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html

Wednesday, November 6, 2013. Out of my Reach. Wake up to an annoying sound. Drink my coffee as I ponder a clock. I want to drown. Misery has my mind. Bound as I ride to work downtown. Walk around lookin' up at what I can't reach. Pretty faces fill the places I wish I could be. Trying to jump start my life. That's hard to. Do when it's empty. Need someone with a. Smile and an open heart. Growing up I was told to sit down and. Be quiet. Now I know I'm not stupid. Not out. A lot of things are out of my reach.

The Daily Eben: May 2011

http://thedailyeben.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Wednesday, May 11, 2011. I awoke to the sound of Mom and Dad fighting. I. Wished I had still been sleeping. I heard talk of. Murder. Did Dad really want to kill her? Chaos had begun without warning. Dad stormed out. Of the house in anger that morning. Mom called her brother. We needed to leave in a hurry. The adults. Were in a furry. I had been told that Mom was mentally ill. I didn’t understand why she couldn’t treat it like. A cold and fix it with a pill. That night I caught a glimpse of her monster.

The Daily Eben: October 2011

http://thedailyeben.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

Sunday, October 30, 2011. Under cover of a tree he watches little monsters. They walk by dressed. As ghosts, zombies, pirates, and vampires. He's close enough that he. Could reach out and touch them, but he means no harm to these. He turns and walks down the street. He thinks about what will. Happen tonight. For him that's a treat. He stops and gazes across. The street at her house. He thinks about her and something inside. Him burns. His gaze moves to the front porch and he stares at. Pounds, pulls, and...

Beachcomber Blues: board governance 101

http://beachcomberblues.blogspot.com/2008/07/board-governance-101.html

Monday, July 21, 2008. Just came from the public meeting regarding the Southern Theater. Top lessons for non-profit boards of directors:. 1 If you run an arts non-profit, have some artists on your board. Saying you support artists and work collaboratively with them works better when you actually have them in the room for planning and major decisions. 3 Titles like President/CEO kinda alienate artists. 7 Don't tell artists that being on a board "takes a lot of time." Because in comparison to even one ...

Beachcomber Blues: berkeley

http://beachcomberblues.blogspot.com/2008/05/berkeley.html

Sunday, May 11, 2008. Went to Berkeley to see Jeune Lune's Figaro. Hiked up the mountain to the University's botanical gardens. Was rewarded with this 20-foot high freaky plant. Awesome what grows on this planet. Berkeley is pretty weird about smoking in public. And they really don't know how to make a pastrami sandwich. And they are politically correct pretty far past the point of annoying smugness. But otherwise it's a beautiful place. And the show was great. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Beachcomber Blues: sigh

http://beachcomberblues.blogspot.com/2008/02/sigh.html

Sunday, February 10, 2008. Foster went to L.A. for his birthday. I didn't ask for stories about the trip because it's embarrassing to cry in front of a large group of people at the Leaning Tower. But a casual visit to his blog put me face to suddenly teary face with this photo. Eucalyptus, palm, sun, how you taunt me. Ohgod - I feel it today. High of zero. HIGH. I hate February. I love SoCal. Beachcomber Blues: ahh, high from the fumes

http://beachcomberblues.blogspot.com/2008/07/ahh-high-from-fumes.html

Saturday, July 19, 2008. Ahh, high from the fumes. I don't get it. But after this primer dries, and if I can still move after all that painting at odd (it's an attic with sloped ceiling) angles, it will be a much better color and I will like that. It's 2 am, and I'm high on paint fumes. Mmm, makes me feel young. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Follow me on Twitter. Charlie Bethels in town! Beachcomber Blues: ohmigod, the sun, the sun, the sun

http://beachcomberblues.blogspot.com/2008/01/ohmigod-sun-sun-sun.html

Tuesday, January 15, 2008. Ohmigod, the sun, the sun, the sun. Now that my nighttime breathing is back to choking-free, I slept soundly all the way through to 8:30, hours later than I've made it all the mornings of the last week. And I guess we're far enough into the season that the sun is coming earlier and at a steadily new angle. Today it came bursting through the window by the bed, and that's what woke me up. Skip to search - Accesskey = s. By Christina on October 23, 2009. It is not often I have drunken stories to share. Last night, by far, was the most drunk I have ever been in my life. I did not even drink a lot, but the combo of booze and my prescriptions was a horrid mess. It ended up with me a sobbing mess, asking for my (dead) mother, and apologizing like I just shot the president. By Christina on August 5, 2009. The Art of Being Rude…. By Christina on July 31, 2009. Thursday, March 22, 2012. Okay, so it's not exactly daily. And by "not exactly daily" I mean I haven't posted since 2009. But I have a blog. I got rid of my older posts, as they reflected another mindset. I am not that person any longer, and so I should not leave those thoughts hanging out there in space. I have no idea if anyone is reading this. I actually don't think that matters. If you are reading this, stay tuned. I'm sure I won't wait two years to post again. I hope you find it an entertaining read.
