My surgeon came in to tell me that the surgery went off without a hitch and that my large intestine was basically on its last stretch. I thanked him and asked questions about my pouch and stoma. The Day to Day of UC. Living with Ulcerative Colitis and Surviving. And about 2 inches shorter than I am tall! My parents had waited in the family waiting room untill I was wheeled out of recovery to my hospital room. The last thing I remember saying as they wheeled me out is “Your elevator is dirty.” as I could see the hand smudges on the top and sides of the door and around the buttons. The ostomy community has united this week after the shocking tactics used by a police force in Cincinatti decided to use ostomies as a means to deter youths from gun violence. A lot of people i admire have blogged there responses to this and an online petition for an apology has been made and is circulating cyberspace. Thursday, August 6, 2015. A week with Nini and Auntie. This week was VBS in Springwater. Nini took the girls for the week and they had a great time! They had a lot of extra fun too. Day trips and a play date at Grandma Rosie's. They played in the creek at Pastor and Paulines house. They also saw deer in the meadow! Dinner and playing outside with Grandma Speers!
