The Day to Day of UC. Living with Ulcerative Colitis and Surviving. My surgeon came in to tell me that the surgery went off without a hitch and that my large intestine was basically on its last stretch. I thanked him and asked questions about my pouch and stoma. But mostly I was concerned about when Id eat next. His answer was “Not today or tomorrow”. This entry was posted on January 20, 2012. Bookmark the permalink. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. The Day to Day of UC. Living with Ulcerative Colitis and Surviving. And about 2 inches shorter than I am tall! My parents had waited in the family waiting room untill I was wheeled out of recovery to my hospital room. The last thing I remember saying as they wheeled me out is “Your elevator is dirty.” as I could see the hand smudges on the top and sides of the door and around the buttons. My dad laughed and I fell back into a stupor. This entry was posted on August 8, 2011. Bookmark the permalink.

I think that I chose a subject that I thought I could render well and that created an expectation on me without the joy of the challenge. Underneath that there was the question of life, and living, which I was desperate to control as usual. Yesterday, today, tomorrow, but always today today today. How will I ...
