Walk around the complex that houses the world famous Qutub Minar, one of India’s oldest mosques and tombs of emperors from the Slave dynasty. Stroll through ruins of the 13th century on one end and browse though lanes that house Delhi’s young creative talent on the other end. An amalgamation that puts together the old and the new. Browse around some of Delhi’s local bazaars which sell anything from indo-western wear, accessories, books, jewellery to home furnishings. Approx 5-6 hrs (including travel time).

As the saying goes shop till you drop dead! Get lost in the maze of street shops, learn the art of bargaining the dilli-way, enter the gallis (alleys) to track down the hidden traders, take a break-bite with Delhi’s street food and continue the shopping journey. At the end of the day you would have a bag full of eclectic goodies, trinkets, souvenirs (at dirt cheap prices) that would make everyone happy back home. After all, paying a little for excess baggage is worth the while. Wear appropriate shoes as ...

Sunday, 27 January 2013. 10 essential things to pack for your trip. We love the concept of a holiday - the planning, the exploring, the food you get to try, the people you get to meet, posing for the photographs, relaxing, getting to know another place's culture and lifestyle. the list can go on and on. The ONLY thing we dislike is the PACKING before we take off. Sitting on a flight and having that unsettling feeling that you've forgotten to pack something. Website: www.thedelhiway.com.
