The Documentary Photographer: About

http://www.thedocumentaryphotographerpodcast.blogspot.com/p/about.html

My name is Roger Overall. I host and produce The Documentary Photographer. That makes me one of three people without whom this podcast couldn't exist. The second person is really a group of people: the photographers who allow us into their lives. Wonderful people producing inspirational documentary work that we can all learn from. Without you, there wouldn't be a podcast. A podcast needs an audience. One person is enough. So by listening, you make this podcast worthwhile. Why the podcast exists. Of food&...

The Documentary Photographer: The Documentary Photographer Podcast—Episode 24: Jon Wilkening—The Courage to Follow Your Heart to Fulfilment as a Photographer

http://www.thedocumentaryphotographerpodcast.blogspot.com/2015/06/jon-wilkening-successful-career-in.html

Thursday, 25 June 2015. The Documentary Photographer Podcast—Episode 24: Jon Wilkening—The Courage to Follow Your Heart to Fulfilment as a Photographer. Left a successful career in finance to become a fine art photographer. His whole life, he felt like he was different and couldn't shake a sense of not quite belonging. It's hardly surprising when you think he's an American whose childhood was spent in the Netherlands and India. He was 12 by the time he settled permanently in the US.

The Documentary Photographer: The Documentary Photographer Podcast – Episode 21: Carl Weese and the Case of the Platinum/Palladium Prints

http://www.thedocumentaryphotographerpodcast.blogspot.com/2014/09/the-documentary-photographer-podcast.html

Wednesday, 10 September 2014. The Documentary Photographer Podcast – Episode 21: Carl Weese and the Case of the Platinum/Palladium Prints. 2014 has been a fast year. "Flown by" doesn't cover it. Usain Bolt himself would be left spluttering in the dust cloud left in the wake of 2014. I think Linford Christie (also a sprinter) once said that you have to go on the "B" of the starter pistol's "BANG! 2014 is so fast, it would have finished the race by then. The other is Carl Weese, an American photographer wh...

http://www.thedocumentaryphotographerpodcast.blogspot.com/2015/03/the-documentary-photographer23-PeterCox-Kickstarter.html

Saturday, 21 March 2015. The Documentary Photographer Podcast—Episode 23: Peter Cox—Self-publishing "Atlantic Light" Using Kickstarter. Peter Cox is a successful professional landscape photographer based in Co. Cork in Ireland. He is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to help publish his second book, Atlantic Light. To say it has been a huge success so far would be an understatement—like saying the summit of K2 is a stiff walk. His website is here: Peter's website. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Recent Photographs: all photographs © 1969-2016 by Carl Weese. Wednesday, August 12, 2015. I wonder why the lights went out? They've got to get the tree out of the road, but I was amazed to find not only the power, but the cable back on (maybe the cable was never severed but how would I know without electricity? When I walked back into the house at about six. A pole went down, so we should be prepared for a possible power drop (if it carried a transformer, I don't know if it did). The Public Eye Blog.

So, if I were doing this professionally instead of as a donation to a local non-profit, I'd order up one of these. Right away. But I've enjoyed seeing what I could force the 45-200 to do. Is the angle of view the same? Thanks for posting and examples. I had the same experience than you. I am now in a transition process from Canon to MFT (Olympus and...

Recent Photographs: all photographs © 1969-2016 by Carl Weese. Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Lawn, Truck, and Garages. Union City, Connecticut. There was an interesting comment exchange about yesterday's shot from the plaza in front of the pizza place. (The first time I encountered a pizza joint claiming, "wood fired pizza," I misread the extremely poor signage as "wood fried pizza," and wondered what the hell that meant. I've used the term ever since.). Somehow resonates with the action points. I find it ...

Recent Photographs: all photographs © 1969-2016 by Carl Weese. Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Cleaning the Glass Door. A lot going on in this shot! I had to click on the larger view to really appreciate it! Woman on cell phone, foot of the person cleaning the glass! Wonder what a cropped closer view would do? Definitely the decisive moment! Wonderful. A shy window cleaner, the obiquitous cell phone talker and that perfectly landscaped group of plants. Ones eye never stops moving. The Public Eye Blog.
