The dragons in these two examples are able to communicate with language and have reasoning abilities. However in other cases, such as the Harry Potter series, dragons seem little more than very powerful animals. They don’t seem able to communicate and seem to just have basic instincts. A blog about Dragons. Where do they come from? It seems only to make sense that now that we know what dragons are we discover where they come from. Most books and videogames that have dragons seem to go with the idea that they come from eggs. This is reasonable since dragons are considered to be reptilian in nature. A blog about Dragons. It seems to me that there is not standardized full grown size for dragons. Their size seems to vary depending on the species and book/movie series. In the Termeraire series the largest dragon is the Regal Copper which can weigh up to 50 tons and be 120 feet long.
