The Dusty Attic: February 2014

http://www.thedustyatticblog.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html

So I was reading through all of the subscribed blogs on my bloglovin feed (you can find me. This morning and saw that. Amy at Cocktails in Teacups. Had done 'The Mummy Tag', and she tagged, well, any and all mothers that read her blog! So, I thought I would do it, as it has been a while since I have done a tag, and maybe you would like to know more about Anna-as-Zoe's-Mummy! 1 Are you a stay at home mum or a working mum? 2 Would you have it any other way? 3 Do you co-sleep? I think if the next one is a b...

The Dusty Attic: June 2014

http://www.thedustyatticblog.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

So last week I shared my 31 before 31 list wherein I managed to do 12 out of 31 things. I asked you lovely lot to suggest some things to add to my 32 before 32 list, and I've carried over a few from the 31 before 31 list as well, plus a few random new ones too! 1 Make a dress for Zoe. 2 Bake one of my Gran's recipes. 3 Make a video of my Gran telling me how to bake one of her lovely cakes. 5 Climb Ben Nevis. 8 Finish crocheting the rainbow granny square blanket. 11 Walk around Buttermere. Remember I (bel...

The Dusty Attic: Weekend Round-up: Soggy Bums and Shelving (TWTWC #1)

http://www.thedustyatticblog.blogspot.com/2015/02/the-week-that-was-captured-1.html

Weekend Round-up: Soggy Bums and Shelving (TWTWC #1). I'm going to attempt to do these weekly sort of round up posts, and link up with Hannah's linky at Make, do and push. I used to do this a while ago, but haven't for a year or so, so I'm starting again at #1! Oh and I'm also linking up this week with the #PointShoot linky on YouBabyMeMummy. It was a pretty busy week at work, with a couple of events being held that I had been working on for a few months - luckily they both ran really smoothly - yay!

The Dusty Attic: May 2015

http://www.thedustyatticblog.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html

A (very late) birth announcement! This post is well overdue - a month ago today, on 30 April we welcomed into the world Emily Victoria. I had an elective c-section at 38 weeks due to gestational diabetes. Emily arrived at 10.01 am weighing in at 8 pounds exactly. She is settling in well, Zoe thinks that she's the bees knees, and I'm pretty sure that Emily feels the same about her big sister! But I'm getting there! I'm looking forward to being able to drive again too! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sooz In The Shed. Craft and Lifestyle Blogger. Thursday, 30 July 2015. Knitting Gauge - converting Needle Size from metric to UK. I am often amazed by people's discovery of a little craft tool that makes life so much easier. There are a few of them about, but the one I am talking about today is a Knitting Gauge. The conversation usually starts with "Do you have any idea how to convert 'old' numbered knitting needles to today's sizes? I should do a blog post. So, here you go :). 31 July 2015 at 16:10.

Switching off and unwinding - Everything Mummy

http://everythingmummy.co.uk/2015/08/switching-off-and-unwinding.html

A Week In Pictures. Everything Travel & Day’s Out. August 10, 2015. Switching off and unwinding. Here are some of the things I like to do:. Bath – A nice big relaxing bubbly bath, once the kids are all in bed I can just completely relax with some music playing and a nice big cuppa of a glass of wine depending on whether there is any in the fridge that evening, I have started making this a weekly thing and I love it. I never used to be much of a bath person until now. I have three to give away to be in wi...

A blog by bekswhoknits. Song of the Week. Where has the year gone! February 24, 2016. February 26, 2016. So it’s 2016 and I haven’t posted so far this year! Rest assured I am alive just busy. Almost overwhelmingly busy. I’m wandering around with only a playlist and a reading goal. The Bek who had organised a 15 for 15 and 24 in 2014 seems like a different person. I have some new apps which are helping with the business that is my life currently. Productive. I found through the Career Girl Daily blog.

shawl | polka-dots & sparkles

https://polkadotsandsparkles.com/tag/shawl

A blog by bekswhoknits. Song of the Week. July 2, 2015. To celebrate the arrival of KnitPicks in Australia I bought some yarn (gun to my head, hand over your bank details! I ordered some bare yarn for dyeing, and picked up my promotional free ball of Chroma fingering. In the Carnival colourway. I love the gradual colour changes and I wanted a shawl pattern that would show them off, but I could pick up and put down. So I set to work and started designing. CO – 4 Stitches. Row 1: K3 (Place marker) YO K1.

A blog by bekswhoknits. Song of the Week. Song of the Week. Song of the Week. It all started when I started piano lessons at age 7. Well it actually started long before that because my Dad plays piano and organ, as does my Grandpa, and my Great-Grandpa could make a violin sound like it was speaking. I made my first music zine’s for friends, and wore out my Alanis Morrisette tape. My CD collection started with Tina Arena, and has been on a journey of discovery ever since. I copied her look and studied mar...

A blog by bekswhoknits. Song of the Week. All my life I’ve had one dream to achieve my many goals (part 2). November 30, 2015. For part 1 click here. Just in time for the harsh Australian summer I received a hand knit woolen beanie in the mail. I was so excited that it finally arrived via my property manager because it was sent to the wrong address! Note to self: buy Megan one of those old timey address books with my correct postal address in it for Christmas). So it got opened right there on the street.

A blog by bekswhoknits. Song of the Week. Because I always need another hat (FO11). July 21, 2015. The yarn is from yarnvszombies. The pattern is Tramontane. And it’s really really cute! I love the short row brim and will definitely have fun experimenting with different ways to wear it. I’m also considering blocking it (or just wear it outside – it’s pretty rainy at the moment) to stretch out the lace. It will go quite nicely with the snakeld scarf in the same colourway.
