A Journal of Random Things | Clark of Words
https://clarkofwords.wordpress.com/journal
A Journal of Random Things. A Journal of Random Things. A Journal of Random Things. I’m not entirely sure what ‘theme’ this blog should have, if any. Until I do, I’ll use it as a journal for general, random thoughts and things that I’m up to. It may be interesting, it may not. Who knows…. Posted March 13, 2011 by Alan Clark. Jayne Baldwin Blethers: October 2013
http://jaynebaldwinblethers.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Monday, 28 October 2013. I'm still coming to terms with the fact that I will not get a chance to laugh over these early gigs with my friend, to find out how life has treated him because instead death has caught up with him first. I just have this overwhelming need to write about it, to somehow make up for this loss by conjuring him up again with words. Monday, 21 October 2013. I was recently asked to write a guest post on Louise Gibneys blog misswrite. Wednesday, 9 October 2013. West Over the Waves.

A Writing Game | Clark of Words

A Journal of Random Things. A Journal of Random Things. I’m not sure where this came from originally (though I know we played with it in our Writers Group) but it’s a fun creative writing exercise…. You need two characters. Put the name of the first character down on a piece of paper. Then spend five minutes listing what that person would be carrying. For example, what they are holding, what’s in their pockets, or what’s in their bag. Finally, sit back and admire your handiwork. One response to “. You ar...

A Journal of Random Things. A Journal of Random Things. I want the job of deciding what names new paint colours should be. I’m busily looking through paint charts just now – without the colour swab as a guide what colour would a ‘plunge pool’ be? Or a ‘tea infusion’? I think these names are made up as a bet to see how much confusion they cause…. Posted May 29, 2011 by Alan Clark. Laquo; Story Time Lines and Plots. Writer’s Group – Lessons Learned ». Writer’s Group – Lessons Learned | Clark of Words
https://clarkofwords.wordpress.com/2011/06/05/writers-group-lessons-learned
A Journal of Random Things. A Journal of Random Things. Writer’s Group – Lessons Learned. Well, my first foray into the world of Writers Groups is now over, with Dumfries Writers adjourning their fortnightly meetings until the autumn. That’s understandable; people have so many other things to do during the summer months and holidays and other fun things get in the way of writing. It’s important to give yourself time and space to write. A regular time slot each day in a quiet spot is preferable&...Vary se...

A Writing Game Through the Post | Clark of Words
https://clarkofwords.wordpress.com/2011/06/12/a-writing-game-through-the-post
A Journal of Random Things. A Journal of Random Things. A Writing Game Through the Post. Following on from the last post about a writing game I thought I’d post another example of a fun way to get writing. There are a number of variations of this game but the one I’m going to describe involves envelopes. Also this is slightly hard to set up by yourself so like a would be magician, you may need a glamorous assistant to help you get started. Characters might be an undertaker or fishmonger. You really don&#...
