Monday, August 3, 2015. Brielle in Europe-May 24. Date: Sunday, May 24. Location: Colmar, Frankfurt. The whole ward spoke French. There were only a couple of kids in primary; probably about 10. We went to McDonalds a lot because most restaurants took a few hours to eat a meal in Europe. There was a basketball hoop with like 35 basketballs, but they were really tiny. There is a bridge that connects it to the land. I liked exploring the Abby. I learned some interesting things there. There was a human hamster wheel where people had to go down and roll on it to bring things up like a conveyer belt. They brought rocks on it to help build the Abby. Friday, June 26, 2015. Brielle and her cousin, Gavin were able to be baptized on the same day, June 13th. Their birthdays are exactly 4 weeks apart, and they love spending time together. We got to the church early, to make sure everything was set up and ready. Brielle got to watch the font being filled up and confirmed that the water would be warm. We slept upstairs above it. Gavin slept on the couch and I slept on these weird cube things. They were really soft. For breakfast I had a croissant with chocolate on top and chocolate in the middle. So, on our way to DC (to do our immigration paperwork and visit some family), the craigslist photographer we had booked cancelled to do a wedding. I was so stressed and trying to find a last minute replacement but everyone I contacted was too busy, too expensive, not willing to provide digital copies of the prints etc. Oh, the place we were already planning to be that day. SWEEEET! Plus she was great, and so talented! Tender mercy for sure.

Eid is the feast of the sacrifice, a celebration of when Abraham didn't have to sacrifice his son, so naturally, ram is on the menu and we saw a LOT of sheep headed for feasts on our trip to RAK! We also saw a lot more camels than on our trip to Abu Dhabi, but we couldn't get any decent pictures! We did the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Eileen's ranch this year. The four kids got a lot of eggs. Ellie, Gavin and friend Sofia loved searching for eggs in the tall grass.
