Lay me down in the tall grass. Jan 5th, 2010 at 12:04 AM. Not so much resolutions but directions I'd like to head in or things I'd like to achieve:. Really enjoy the rest of our trip. Make new friends on our travels. Reconnect with old friends in Australia. Have a great time with my family in Australia and New Zealand. Continue to have a fantastic time with Sharon. Be excited to be back in San Francisco. Spend more time nerding out with nerds. I love to talk about ideas with interesting people but it...

Dead trees - christopher's ramblings

Aug 13th, 2011 at 2:31 PM. Thesis: "A moderately extensive library of paper books is no longer a necessary signifier of a literate household.". Time was, if I saw a house with few or no books, I'd assume the occupants didn't spend much time reading. But I now spend far more time reading articles and technical references online than in magazines and textbooks, and we're starting to format shift from paper books to eBooks. 22 comments Leave a comment. Pass me another minion would you, this ones gone all mushy? Jan 1st, 2020 at 12:00 PM. The Countdown Commences. - Postironic Brain. Aug 5th, 2010 11:59 pm. In two weeks we'll be in the UK! Weighed down by heavy luggage and an 8-hour time difference, but touch wood alive and well. Synchronising iPhone and Thunderbird: the lost weekend - ianslife
http://ianslife.livejournal.com/15670.html
Synchronising iPhone and Thunderbird: the lost weekend. Now I have an iPhone, I am going to neatly integrate everything. My calendar, email and address book will be the same whether I am making a phone call, writing email on my desktop, or using webmail. I spent most of this weekend working out how to do this. By the end of Sunday, I did not have everything integrated, but after taking this advice. All my email had disappeared. I have it back now - it was just an error in a configuration file.). The iPho...

It's A Long Way To Itinerary - Postironic Brain. It's A Long Way To Itinerary. Jul 12th, 2010 11:54 pm. I do my daily wuthering - most of it about boardgames, Primeval and countries of the world beginning with A, uninterestingly enough - over on. Now, but it seems like. Is still the place to say:. People who live in Britain! For three weeks in August-September I, and my lovely wife and adorable child, may be passing through a town near you! Jump on a plane in Vancouver, British Columbia. Drop by to see.

Knocking through walls - R..
http://metame.livejournal.com/40881.html
Knocking through walls - R. Aug 19th, 2010 02:47 pm. Anyone got experience with getting an internal house wall knocked through? We're looking at buying a place and in a few cases think we'd much prefer them with eg. Living Room and Dining Room de-separated. Any ideas on how expensive it might be to get a builder to do it? We know it depends on how load bearing the wall is, but not much more. 2010-08-19 01:58 pm (UTC). Took me a while to figure out what that meant! 2010-08-19 02:14 pm (UTC). When my paren...
