The Fool Speaks

I'm not terribly bright, but that doesn't stop me from talking. Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Apocalypse isn't the End of the World. No, I won't. I'll wear all my favorite hoodies and my snow boots and be fine. I've come up with one good trick for beating the heat this summer: tear off your skin. Makes it harder to sweat. The sweat is also not helping this feeling of being burnt out. I've seen two plays these last two weekends and each one required a review written for The Pittsburgh Stage Online Magazine.

The Fool Speaks: February 2014

http://thefoolspeakswords.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html

I'm not terribly bright, but that doesn't stop me from talking. Friday, February 28, 2014. My Oscar Picks (and the winners! The Oscars are 2 days away and while I usually don't care much, this is the first year I've seen all the movies before the awards. Therefore I feel I should put in my two cents. I'm going to say who I want. To win and then also who I think. Will win (I never could pick a winner anyway). NOW UPDATED WITH THE WINNERS. Best Picture (Links are to all my own reviews). 12 Years a Slave.

I'm not terribly bright, but that doesn't stop me from talking. Friday, January 23, 2015. Severing the Tie Line. As a tech kid in college I hung a good bit of lights and equipment in high places. I carried a wrench with me on a daily basis. I used power tools. I used a lathe once, after asking what a lathe was. I openly faked my way through using computer software I didn't understand. And today.I don't do any of those things. And then there are the ones that majored in theater, were good at it, graduated...

I'm not terribly bright, but that doesn't stop me from talking. Sunday, June 14, 2015. Today was a big week if you live in Pittsburgh and have to be downtown. Three Rivers Arts Festival, Pride, Pirate Games ,. All the theater/comedy events.there's a lot happening. As someone who works two jobs, both downtown, I had a heavier-than-average workload this week. But I've reached the end and I even recall having fun a few times. On Tuesday I saw the CLO's production of Mary Poppins. And All About Eve. You are ...

The Fool Speaks: March 2015

http://thefoolspeakswords.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

I'm not terribly bright, but that doesn't stop me from talking. Saturday, March 28, 2015. Today I peed in a cup for the first time. I'm not in any trouble, I'm just applying for a job that likes to do drug screenings. A seasonal, part-time job that may do random drug testing after being employed. I found it a bit odd since the job was one where I'd assume at least some. And you'll have to force a laugh with them. But of course that's the best thing there, it's free carbs. But they don't give you ...I ord...

The Fool's Progress

One man's honest attempt at life. One more from the active ‘to read’ shelf picked up at a now forgotten bookstore outing, Dostoevsky, Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, and Kafka. Is a short analysis of a fun bunch of guys. The book treats each writer in turn, with short biographies and a treatment of their work, but for the most part the author assumes a certain level of familiarity. The meat of this short paperback comes in two short closing essays. The Four Apocalyptic Horsemen. Posted by KC : 14:39 0 comments.
