Safety on the Road – Wherever I Go
https://peregrineplanets.wordpress.com/2014/07/01/safety-on-the-road
July 1, 2014. Safety on the Road. My plans are getting more solidified and I am leaving here in the spring of 2015! I’m very excited, very nervous, and a little overwhelmed at everything I need to do between now and then. But mostly I’m very excited! One thing I am hoping to be able to get, if I can afford it (it’s around $400) is this: inReach Explorer. View all posts by rosecoloredplanet. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. April 2015 – Wherever I Go
https://peregrineplanets.wordpress.com/2015/04
April 30, 2015. May 3, 2015. Pocatello – Marshall Public Library. I leave Pocatello in about a week. I’ve been “practicing” for being on the road and part of that practice is using public wifi at the library, coffee houses, McDonald’s, etc. It was a beautiful day at the library, so I also took a few pictures while I was there, finishing up the season of … Continue reading Pocatello – Marshall Public Library. February 27, 2014. February 24, 2014. Blog Review – As I Travel. For my first blog review, I’d like to talk about the blog As I Travel. The author is a 55-year-old woman with multiple sclerosis who lives with her adorable little dogs full-time in an 18-foot 1970 Amerigo travel trailer towed by a 1998 Ford e250 cargo van with a V8 engine. In an entry about frugal … Continue reading Blog Review – As I Travel. February 22, 2014. February 24, 2014. Why I Started This Blog. Anticipating My Last Cold Winter.

February 28, 2014. February 28, 2014. Homelessness Versus Radical Simplicity. A while back, I was talking about the years I spent homeless and how hard they were on me. I developed a lot of hardscrabble skills in those days; I went in soft and came out canny. If it had been an urban shamanic journey, I would have come back with the cockroach as my totem … Continue reading Homelessness Versus Radical Simplicity. February 27, 2014. February 24, 2014. Revision to the Three-Year-Plan – Wherever I Go
https://peregrineplanets.wordpress.com/2014/05/28/revision-to-the-three-year-plan
May 28, 2014. Revision to the Three-Year-Plan. So, the original three-year-plan was: year one, get out of debt, year two, buy a van, year three, buy a travel trailer and hit the road. The more I think on it, the more I decide to shift things. I’m impatient to get on the road and I’m nervous about not having a financial cushion. So here’s the new plan:. Year one (this year): get out of debt. Down-size material possessions. View all posts by rosecoloredplanet. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. You are commenting...

May 2015 – Wherever I Go
https://peregrineplanets.wordpress.com/2015/05
May 3, 2015. May 3, 2015. Pocatello – Battalion Headquarters. I saw notice of a rabies vaccination clinic at the fairgrounds so I took Fermat the Wonder Cat over Saturday morning to be vaxxed. Since I’ve never been to the fairgrounds, I punched it in to my GPS and when I was almost there, I saw this and had to pull over: What drew my attention … Continue reading Pocatello – Battalion Headquarters. The Final Countdown – Wherever I Go
https://peregrineplanets.wordpress.com/2015/04/06/the-final-countdown
April 6, 2015. May 3, 2015. Nearly everything’s in place and I’m expecting to leave in a month. I have a van, I have camping gear, all that is left is to empty this apartment and get the van livable. First plans: some natural history tourism out here in the west as I wend my way eastward. Upcoming: visiting family in the Midwest. I am so excited to get to see people I love and haven’t seen in a couple of decades! Now it’s back to work. I still have so much to do this month! Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Anticipating My Last Cold Winter – Wherever I Go
https://peregrineplanets.wordpress.com/2014/10/30/anticipating-my-last-cold-winter
October 30, 2014. Anticipating My Last Cold Winter. I’m heading into the home stretch — only five more months in an apartment and then I hit the road. I’ve sold lots of furniture – more still to sell. I’ve sold some musical instruments. I’ve donated lots of stuff and tossed lots of stuff. I still have a LOT to do, but bit by bit, it’s starting to make more sense. There is something deeply wrong about that. For now, I will be hunkering down, shivering through my last truly cold winter. Come on, spring!
