The Fruit of Her Hands...

The Fruit of Her Hands. Sunday, July 26, 2009. 4H Horse Show.July 25, 2009. Monday, July 20, 2009. It seems as though every summer is busy. The time just flies by. Every weekend we have at least two hockey games. Jonathan and Brianna are playing in an off season league. Both teams are doing remarkably well. Jonathan's team is first in his division and Brianna's team is second in her division. They are both having a very fun time. As things settle down more toward the fall, I hope to blog more consistently.

The Fruit of Her Hands...: Hardening off the seedlings...

http://thefruitofherhands-motplus2.blogspot.com/2009/05/hardening-off-seedlings.html

The Fruit of Her Hands. Monday, May 25, 2009. Hardening off the seedlings. Last Friday, I began the process of hardening off the tomato, pepper, and celery seedlings. This year I have had the best looking seedlings out of the last three years, but they still don't quite look like the ones from the nursery. I am hoping to get them in the ground by midweek. May 25, 2009 at 5:19 PM. May 25, 2009 at 9:31 PM. Back home (Michigan) they used to plant celery in the peat bogs. May 26, 2009 at 11:38 PM.

The Fruit of Her Hands. Friday, January 30, 2009. Tuesday was fine until mid morning when some intestinal distress hit and made the rest of my day awful. I did manage to get through grocery shopping in the afternoon, but Dave picked Natalie up from work. Then Natalie, Dave and Carolyn made pancakes for dinner. I slept. Friday, January 23, 2009. Our new eating plan. Here is a sampling of dinner menus from our new eating plan. Beef barley soup (homemade). Romaine and spinach salad. Note the lovely cabinet ...

The Fruit of Her Hands...: Some garden work...

http://thefruitofherhands-motplus2.blogspot.com/2009/05/some-garden-work.html

The Fruit of Her Hands. Thursday, May 28, 2009. Finally we have started on the beds. I assigned each child a bed to work for the summer. Right now we are just turning over the soil. My tomatoes and peppers are already to go in the ground. I did not get a deer fence this year, so I have decided to fence each bed individually. That should work for now. May 28, 2009 at 8:58 PM. May 28, 2009 at 9:07 PM. Jen, what a great idea to give each child a bed to care for. a good idea on so many levels! Then I meant t...

The Fruit of Her Hands. Friday, February 27, 2009. Thank you to all who decided to take the quiz yesterday and shared their results. Many found the results to be fairly accurate. If you haven't taken the quiz yet, please do so, and share your results. Every family must make their own decisions on how to wisely spend the resources that they are given. I hope that this gives you some food for thought today. Thursday, February 26, 2009. What kind of survivor are you? The Survivors Club Quiz. As I read throu...

Life at the Homeschool Farm. Some thoughts on homeschooling and our journey through life in semi-rural New Mexico. Tuesday, July 16, 2013. I got home from church and found 2 flats of plants. I found out later that my neighbor, Tommy, had left them for us. I planted some of my gifts in flower pots and put them in my flower bed. From left to right: Mexican hat, Coronation Gold Yarrow, Daisy, more yarrow, daisy and nastursium in the last pot. Here are some Mexican Hat. This is another New Mexico privet....

Life at the Homeschool Farm. Some thoughts on homeschooling and our journey through life in semi-rural New Mexico. Thursday, September 20, 2012. The butterflies think about starting in my stomach. I say, "yes". She says, "Are you a parent of Benjaman Conklin? The butterflies begin to rattle around, I feel the blood drain from my face and my heart start to pound. "Yes," I say. "What is your name, ma'am? She asks. "Cheryl," I croak out. Can I do something? How can this be happening? He had just recently br...

Life at the Homeschool Farm. Some thoughts on homeschooling and our journey through life in semi-rural New Mexico. Wednesday, July 25, 2012. It finally rained at our house today! I know, everyone around has been getting regular rain. We usually sit and watch the clouds go right around us without a drop. Rainstorms provide beautiful sunsets! This is the view to the south of our house. It was so much prettier than the actual sunset tonight. Monday, July 16, 2012. Our words.they mean something. I must keep ...

Life at the Homeschool Farm. Some thoughts on homeschooling and our journey through life in semi-rural New Mexico. Thursday, May 23, 2013. I was strong for Ben, but he didn't seem to want any help and kept insisting he was fine. I cringe when I think about what my 11 year old son went through alone because I couldn't figure out how to help him. I thank God for the people in his life that helped him through that time. http://homeschoolfarm.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html

Life at the Homeschool Farm. Some thoughts on homeschooling and our journey through life in semi-rural New Mexico. Tuesday, August 21, 2012. There are some days when all I can do is count my blessings and ignore the things that I don't like. A roof over my head. Enough money to pay the bills. A husband who loves me. A son who loves me. Dog ears to scruff. I'm on the right side of the grass (although this one is debatable. In paradise would be much better and easier). Saturday, August 18, 2012.
