Robin L. DesJardins: Soon retiring as a professional student.Staying alive, sheltered, healthy etc.in 21st century USA. Artist, musician, photographer, potter, quantum physics fan, observer of the macro and the micro. Sunday, October 24, 2010. This is a Hallowe'en. Story, based on a more or less true story from the days when kids could walk around the neighborhood, the folks didn't panic if they didn't know where you were, and Tricks were almost more important than Treats on the spookiest night of the year!

Artist, musician, photographer, potter, quantum physics fan, observer of the macro and the micro. Saturday, March 7, 2009. Imagio's Silly Reviews Page. An insightful and mostly irreverent poke at books I have read and loved or hated. This may become an ongoing blog antic. To paraphrase my Mother (and her Mother) , If you can't say anything nice, for God's sakes at least make it funny. Go to th...

Chris Geremia Adventure Art: John on a Mountain
http://adventureart.blogspot.com/2008/10/mike-in-nepal.html
Wednesday, October 15, 2008. John on a Mountain. This is a painting of John M mountain climbing. As if mountain climbing wasn't enough adventure for a chap, this guy quit his job as a teacher and is now mountain climbing all over the world. As of this writing he is in Nepal. I'm not here to judge any one's. Motivation or judgement. I'm here to celebrate the adventurous. Us, and if this doesn't qualify then nothing does! Thanks for the shout-out man! January 8, 2009 at 3:43 AM. This painting describes tha...

Chris Geremia Adventure Art: USS California (CGN-36) Night Missile Launch
http://adventureart.blogspot.com/2008/10/uss-california-cgn-36-night-missile.html
Sunday, October 12, 2008. USS California (CGN-36) Night Missile Launch. This is a studio painting of a night SM-1 MR launch from when I was on board. The USS California ( CGN. 36) on an Indian Ocean deployment. In addition to the SAM we also launched an ASROC. And a Harpoon Missile. Thankfully none of the launches were in combat situations. This particular missile launch did cream a drone a few miles up. Do you have any good military stories with a photo you want me to put on a canvas for you?

Chris Geremia Adventure Art: Mojave Campfire
http://adventureart.blogspot.com/2008/12/mojave-campfire.html
Wednesday, December 24, 2008. This new painting was born in early December while camping in the Mojave Desert in CA. This represented new challenges in painting. First, it was done late in the evening and depicts the campfire glow on some nearby rocks and a tree. It was also from this light source that I illuminated the canvas to paint. It was also done with an acrylic under painting with oil on top. I like this technique for plein. Wow, this painting is really neat, it really makes you feel you are on a...

http://adventureart.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 8, 2009. Evening Painting in Pacific Grove. It took 3 attempts to get these paintings completed. The winter weather in Pacific Grove, CA is rainy and it makes no exceptions for painters. The concept was to paint nocturnal scenes of across Monterey Bay from Lovers Point in Pacific Grove. At about 10PM we finally packed up and put what was left of our paintings in the car. We both decided to keep what was created from the combination of our work and Mother Nature's. What a wet mess! Many of t...
