Tuesday, 1 June 2010. Myra Heller at Newington Green Primary School, 10th May. The children's knowledge and enthusiasm has grown along with their seeds. Every child has their individual plants to care for, mostly tomatoes and peppers in the green house but we have also planted pumpkins, runner beans, French beans, mange tout (we ate our first one last week, it was hard to share it out to 11 children), courgettes (round yellow ones), sweet corn, lettuce, chard and carrots. Edible Islington: August 2009

http://edibleislington.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, 30 August 2009. Hanover School's 'Farm Shop' in July. Saturday, 8 August 2009. Onsite at Newington Green Primary School with Myra Heller. We looked at sweet pea seeds and touched them to see how incredibly hard they are and pine cones and we looked at ivy and Virginia creeper to understand how they spread (curling tendrils, gripping stem suckers) and some of them drew them.
