Sunday, October 13, 2013. This is a recap of the past 2 weeks of school. One day at lunch, I left the kitchen and when I came back Adam said, “Abby wants to give her Doggie back to God”, to which Abby emphatically responded, “No I don’t! We continued working on place value this week because I felt he needed more reinforcement before moving on. He got the single digit numbers wrong 6 or 7 times and then. Remembered not to use the 10’s. It was good patience practice for this mama! Math test and got 100%!

Sunday, December 8, 2013. Abby’s Christmas Dance Recital. Abby has been taking dance since September and had her first recital December 4th. The class is for 4-5 year olds, but since she is so close to turning 4, her teacher, Miss Laura let her in. Miss Laura has told me several times that Abby is the most focused student in her class and follows directions much better than some of the 5 year olds. Her recital was at this fun theater. Abby and her best little buddy Ariana. And here is her dance!

Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Homeschool Field Day 2014. Homeschoolers get to have Field Day too! Our Kaufman County Homeschoolers group of kids. Abby and Caleb attempting to participate in the preschool games. Caleb wouldn’t sit in the circle and Abby refused to be “goose” when it was her turn. We tried one other race, and when she decided she didn’t want to do it, we spent the next hour and a half watching Adam and chasing after Caleb. Adam was in the 6/7 year old group and seemed to be having fun!

Monday, May 9, 2011. Little Michael Gets Carried to Bed. Last night, we finished reading scriptures and saying family prayers in our bedroom. Little Michael was lying curled up next to me in the bed and asked to be carried to his room. I told him that someday he would be too big for me to carry, and what would we do then? He just looked at me and pleaded, "But I'm only 4! I'm not big yet." Then, I asked him, "Well, how long am I going to be carrying you? His response, "Just until we get to my bed.".

Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Some noteworthy moments this weekend:. Whenever we need a quick snack, its these guys - not white cheddar popcorn that I so affectionally love, but these are even better. Work it Bronson. Bronson's cousin called and said she had two flat tires. Luckily Bronson knows how to change a tire. so phew, I don't have to now. ;). An actual car tire pump worked much better. Exploring caves.. Not to worry. We were armed. Krispy Kreme is one of the landmarks of Tuscaloosa that was destoyed by the tornado in April of 2011. It's back. And it's HOT N NOW! Snow falls on Alabama. It even stuck to the roads and the driveways. He licked it up.. There was enough to make a decent sized snowman. That lasted until about 6:00 that evening. Plenty enough to throw snowballs. The big brother attacks the little brother. But who listens to their mother when they're eight? Happy winter, yall!
