Exploring caves.. Not to worry. We were armed. Krispy Kreme is one of the landmarks of Tuscaloosa that was destoyed by the tornado in April of 2011. It's back. And it's HOT N NOW! Snow falls on Alabama. It even stuck to the roads and the driveways. He licked it up.. There was enough to make a decent sized snowman. That lasted until about 6:00 that evening. Plenty enough to throw snowballs. The big brother attacks the little brother. But who listens to their mother when they're eight? Happy winter, yall!

The universe has not been on my side the past few weeks. It’s really bringing me down. Today I found a stack of pennies on the side of the road. I’m taking it as a sign of good luck, though Harris said it’s just a sign that some kids were playing and forgot them. Thanks optimist. Always such a practical guy. So here I am to purge my negativity and hope for a brighter tomorrow. This episode is getting better. It is and I just have to keep reminding myself of it. But damn it’s hard. September 24, 2014.

Saturday, October 6, 2012. The Saturday following the babies' first birthday, we had a big birthday party at the park in our neighborhood. We were blessed to have many family and friends come and celebrate with us. And the babies were so good!
