After we moved away from her home in Utah I had to start canning our own. I was so happy to bring with me a recipe card, in her writing, for this salsa. Got this recipe from my sis, if you make it, which you most certainly should, be prepared to think you've died and gone to heaven! 1 1/4 Tbs. sugar. 1/4 tsp. salt. 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract. 1 1/4 tsp. baking powder. 6 slices Texas style toast, cut in half diagonally. When ready to serve, roll each piece in:. Slice the bread into strips for great French toast dippers. Serve with fresh raspberry jam and powdered sugar. 1/2 cup canned milk.

Friday, March 1, 2013. Indonesian Beef Curry with Coconut Basmati Rice. Another great recipe from my friend Corinne. She found it in Cooking Light magazine. I made a few adjustments for our tastes/heat tolerance. :) It also makes a great freezer meal. 1 1/2 lbs. lean top round, cut into thin slices (I also use petite sirloin). 1 1/2 Tbsp. canola oil. 1/2 cup thinly sliced shallots (I minced an onion). 1 Tbsp. minced, fresh ginger. 6 garlic cloves, thinly sliced (I use 6 tsp. bottled, minced garlic).
