One day we will look back on even the stars themselves as old tales. Just some random thoughts! Wednesday, June 06, 2007. I feel like I have so many thoughts banging around in my head, that I can't even narrow it down to a blog post. That's partially because I haven't been blogging enough, so when I do finally blog, there's just too many thoughts, and not enough time or energy. Post an idea, a question, a topic, or whatever in the comments, and I'll blog about it. Anything at all. We'll see what happens!

Open to Life (and God's plan for it). This wasn't how we planned our life. It might just be a whole lot better. Wednesday, January 22, 2014. Many people in our culture would say my kids were never meant to exist. Each of my kids was conceived in less-than-ideal circumstances. Strike one. Each was a fourth child. Strike two. Each birthmother was advised by at least one person in her life to take the "easy" way out. Strike three. And yet, they are both here. Praise God! Jan 22, 1973-Jan 22, 2014. As a part...

peu a peu: My Homework
http://peuapeu.blogspot.com/2006/08/my-homework.html
I am a classic case of dysfunction. I talk and talk and still I say nothing. So tell me, am I the voice of my generation? Is everybody having the same conversation? Matthew West, "I Can't Hear You". Tuesday, August 15, 2006. Everyone else was having so much fun doing their homework that, for once, I decided to do mine. So here it is- the 10 songs that influenced me the most and a few explanations to boot. PS - Don't expect links. We all know I don't/can't do links well. Which reminds me. She's always ama...

Open to Life (and God's plan for it). This wasn't how we planned our life. It might just be a whole lot better. Wednesday, April 30, 2008. Adoption Story, Part Three. We talked to Samantha on Sunday as we were driving to the hotel in the town where she would give birth and told her we'd meet her in L&D around 8:30 the next morning. She was scheduled for surgery at 10:00 am. At around 9:45 am, the nurse came in to get Samantha for surgery. She came back for me about five minutes later, after they had ...

Open to Life (and God's plan for it). This wasn't how we planned our life. It might just be a whole lot better. Wednesday, November 12, 2014. Today is Olivia's 7th birthday. I put her in two ponytails because yes, she is still a little girl! She scored a pair of roller skates for her birthday and is SUPER excited about it. It's hard to believe she is seven years old already, but it's also sometimes hard to believe that she is ONLY seven. She learns so fast. She is tall and fast and strong. Sh...We had no...

Open to Life (and God's plan for it). This wasn't how we planned our life. It might just be a whole lot better. Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Born July 23, 2012. Birth story to come later. For now here are a few pics. Daddy holding a clearly-exhausted Martin. This would be yesterday, still at the hospital. Me and baby yesterday. He is an angel and hardly cries at all. Very calm baby. Very different from his sister as a baby. *Big sigh of relief*. Im so glad the waiting is finally over! Oh, soooo cute! Pictur...
