Unexpected because even though I was 8 days past my due date, the doctors had declared me un-induce-able (meaning that it really wouldn’t work well to induce me) about 14 hours before labor started. My girl is not so little anymore, but she still is quite unexpected. . . A mix between a rough-and-tumble girl covered in mud . . . I can’t wait to see what unexpect...

He often gets stuck thinking of the right word in a sentence, but his descriptions are wonderful to get you to the word he is thinking of. My sweet 3 year old! His brain is often going much faster than the words he can think to say. No wonder he took so long to get talking. And this picture might give you a hint about a post I hope to write soon! Those moments in the Hogan family that remind me how super-blessed I truly am. June 12, 2013 in Elijah. There really are some moments that I just love with our kids. One of them is curling up with a stack of books. The kids and I sat out under the tree reading today. We read about planets, animal stripes, poetry, Egyptians, and some fairy tales. I couldn’t get a picture with me in it (obviously), but when I took a reading break, Elijah and Ruthie took over reading the fairy tale book. Eye of the Hurricane.
