Monday, August 3, 2015. Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon, Take 2. Posted from Vicente Guerrero, Mexico. I hope to blog some of our church's current work projects down here in Mexico. I love the tutu! Vine video: Click the unmute button. To unleash the full craziness of this clip, filmed as I neared the "Finish Swine" of this year's Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon. Rank: 22nd in Cincinnati this morning/ 20th place overall! Mt Hood climb Thursday hobbled me to a 7:54 pace this year. The tutu strikes again!

Monday, October 27, 2014. Climbing Mount St. Helens. Our scheduled Mount Rainier climb. As usual, links. To earlier posts are in blue) was only a few weeks away. The plans for Mount Rainier last month ultimately did. Fall apart at the last minute. But Mount St. Helens was a fun addition to the string of easier conditioning hikes and climbs intended to train for climbing Rainier in August. A catch-up post from July:. Photo from Sam's camera. 3:15 am on July 5. We picked up our climbing permits in Cougar j...

Garth's Blog: The Netherlands: Bicycling to Haarlem
http://garthhamilton.blogspot.com/2015/04/the-netherlands-bicycling-to-haarlem.html
Friday, April 17, 2015. The Netherlands: Bicycling to Haarlem. Updated pic from Haarlem this morning; I ended up bicycling FROM Haarlem instead. Seoul, South Korea. Was once again the goal for this overseas day trip (our kids had been out of town for a couple days). Had the Seoul flights been too full to fly standby on like last month. And they were- the alternate plan was to visit a few friends in Singapore for the day. Business Elite cabin view of the Netherlands this morning. Apr 17, 2015 at 2:50pm PDT.

Garth's Blog: July 2015
http://garthhamilton.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Just read: The Adversary, by Reece Hirsch. PSA - Today is the long-awaited release date for Go Set a Watchman. A newly discovered earlier novel from Pulitzer prize winning author Harper Lee! The book reviewed below was a free selection from Amazon Kindle for Samsung's monthly book deals. That's why I read it. And this review will soon also be featured on my Goodreads page. The trace bit of tech geek inside me enjoyed author Reece Hirsch's attention to credibility as the master pla...

http://garthhamilton.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Top 15: Recent travel posts from the past year. Gearing up for tomorrow's double-header climbs of Mount St Helens and Mount Hood have prevented me from finishing the travel blog I was intending to post today. So. I've quickly thrown together a list of my most popular travel posts from the past 12 months. Links. To these previous posts look like this. I didn't even summarize them like I did for my much more eventful Top 10: Most popular travel posts of the year. Lima, Peru: The ...

Garth's Blog: Hiking Devil's Rest loop
http://garthhamilton.blogspot.com/2015/06/hiking-devils-rest-loop.html
Saturday, June 6, 2015. Hiking Devil's Rest loop. Yesterday's European daytrip to bicycle with overseas friends was reworked into flying down to Hollywood for lunch with one of my best buds. I didn't lead a hike this weekend, but instead stayed mostly local for what matters most: Spending time with family, ministry grads, and the amazing friends who make life worth living. I’ll dedicate blog posts to our earlier and bigger 2015 hikes, climbs, and scrambles when I get a chance! Jun 3, 2015 at 12:18pm PDT.

Garth's Blog: June 2015
http://garthhamilton.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 10, 2015. 2015 has been a great year for mountain lovers. Despite the low snow levels, I and a record number of my good friends have been following our dreams to climb to the peaks that we've always longed to reach. Never before seen photo of Katya and I on the summit of Mount Hood! Our final Mount Hood climb of the year. Has been bumped up considerably to chase after the official end of the "safe" climbing season last week. Time slipped away from us this year. Don't judge. I hope to be c...

Garth's Blog: Hiking Nesmith Point
http://garthhamilton.blogspot.com/2015/07/hiking-nesmith-point.html
Friday, July 10, 2015. Updates to the previous "Upcoming Climbs". Link) entry are at the end of this post, including a catch-up on some other recent hikes/events I've organized. The Nesmith Point hike I led a few weeks ago for NW Wilderness was originally suggested by my friend Kaitlin as we hiked Katya's Rudolph Spur loop. Itself a descendant of an earlier, hilariously disastrous scouting session with Katya) a couple weeks earlier. Kaitlin's suggestion paid off! Jun 11, 2015 at 1:03pm PDT. Occasionally ...

Friday, February 20, 2015. Hamilton Happenings- A year of family stories and photos. Kathy and I are flying overseas again tomorrow, so I won't have time to write a new blog this week. In the meantime, I'm sharing Kathy's 2014 year-end Hamilton4 newsletter. I removed or altered the Christmas-y bits. This family update was originally sent out as a Christmas letter to our friends and extended family. As always,. To earlier blog posts. Greetings, Family and Friends!
