Monday, December 2, 2013. In August, we got to celebrate Madison's sixth birthday. She had a pool party and loved it. Once again, I am trying to play catch up on the blog . At the end of July and first of August, we went to Hawaii. I was going for work, so Jared, the girls, mom, and dad came as well. It was a blast. After getting off the plane, the girls got these. We played on the beach and in the pools a lot. We climbed to the top of Diamond Head. Jared and Dad went surfing. We went to the aquarium.

Monday, August 27, 2012. 1st day of kindergarten. Today was Madison's first day of kindergarten. We have been talking about it all summer, and she was so excited to go. I had expected her to be a little nervous or even scared, but last night when I asked her if she was scared, I was emphatically told "No! It's just like preschool". This morning was the first time in a very long time that I have had to wake her up. It took us a while to get going, but we managed to get out the door on time. This is one am...

Wednesday, October 31, 2012. A couple of weekends ago, Jared carved a pumpkin for the girls. Madison picked out the design. Our first celebration of the day was at Annabel's preschool. My little owl ready to go to her trunk or treat. In line to get candy out in the parking lot at the school. It is always entertaining trying to get a group shot of two year olds. Tonight, we ate dinner at the Kenley's and then trick or treated in their neighborhood. Madison (Tinkerbell) and Reagan the butterfly. It has bee...

Monday, January 23, 2012. Ice Skating - Texas Style. Today at preschool, Madison's class got to go "ice skating". Since it is 70 degrees here, we have to get creative. They put down a large tarp and her teacher coated it in shaving cream. The kids took their shoes off and went sliding all around. We are so thankful that Maddie has such a fun place to go to school. Tuesday, January 1, 2013. Fun in San Antonio. Last Friday and Saturday, we went with Jared's family to San Antonio. Friday, we spent the day at Sea World. It was my first time to go to Sea World, and I think I may have been more excited than the kids. After waiting in line for our tickets, we decided it would be more enjoyable for everyone if we had a stroller for the girls. They loved playing on this giant play structure. Madison with Telly (who terrified Annabel). We saw the Sesame Street show. Opening...

Monday, July 8, 2013. Australia - part 3. For our final adventure in Australia, we went to the Blue Mountains, about two hours west of Sydney. We stayed in Katoomba at this amazing hotel that sat right on a cliff. The view from the back of our hotel. The garden outside our room. We spent the majority of the day Sunday hiking. There were trails all along the cliffs and we could hike down into the valleys and to the bottom of some waterfalls. A few of my favorite pics from this day:. Friday, July 5, 2013.

Sunday, December 16, 2012. Christmas trees and a parade. Madison has had a Christmas tree in her room for a couple of years now, and this year Annabel started begging for one. I took her to Target and we started looking for a small one similar to Maddie's. Until she spotted the purple tinsel tree. She fell in love, and I couldn't say no. So, here is Annabel showing off her tree. And Madison with the one in her room. Notice the shorts. I don't know if I will ever adjust to the Christmas weather here.
