In My Librarian Mind

In My Librarian Mind. Wednesday, July 12, 2006. To answer my own question. It's who I am, who I always was, and who I yearn to be each and everyday. It's an infinite and ever-changing world of opportunity and aside from this recent bump I really do love librarianship. Today I was told to by my "boss" to "take my librarian head off" I'm not even sure what that means. If I were to take my librarian head off whom would I be? I am librarian, hear me roar! In My Librarian Mind: It's been...

http://thehiplibrarian.blogspot.com/2006/02/its-been.html

In My Librarian Mind. Thursday, February 16, 2006. Oh my I really didn't realize how busy I was going to be this semester. Taking 4 classes and working 3 jobs is more than overwhelming! Nonetheless, I did make the time to go to the Follet Lecture "Googlization of. Libraries: Debunking the Internet Godzilla Myth". The Shifted Librarian sums it up well here. Held by the Graduate School of Library and Information Science. As busy as I may be making time for this lecture was truly worth it. Ed Valaskaus.

In My Librarian Mind. Saturday, October 29, 2005. Today I hopped on the Metra and went up to Kenosha, Wisconsin. The day was without plan and led to one great adventure. Of course, I stopped by the public library. It was fairly small, but seemed to have pretty decent programming (there were quite a few fliers posted). Upon my return I checked their website. I think we tech-savvy librarians need to create a presence within libraries similar to the Kenosha Public Library. Posted by nahnsee at 10:00 PM.

Who Moved My Library? Commentary on the changing world of libraries, from the viewpoint of a corporate library. Thursday, April 27, 2006. Some of you may have been wondering where I've been lately. OK, so it's just my mother who's wondering. I'll give an update anyway. This semester I caught a serious case of senioritis. I wanted to be done without having to actually do the finishing! I have one more essay question to answer on my take home final and that's it. Today is my last class and graduation is Ma...

Amazing Blogs: September 2005

http://7gracel.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html

Blog is another way to reach out. Friday, September 30, 2005. I found three different types of library blogs. They are. Seems for librarians who are working in libraries. They post their working experience (unusual) on the blog, such as what they can and cannot do, what kind of working envirnment they are in, and what the boundaries are for librarian. It is really helpful for new librarians to learn from their peers. Some comments are interesting. However, I recomment. Posted by cozyliu @ 3:38 PM.

The Hiplife Complex

More than ten years ago, Ghanaian youth began to write rhymes in local languages over imported beats. At once a copy-cat culture and an indigenized national phenomenon, hiplife.
